    Why would we keep Howell if we just signed Mariota? It makes no sense to keep 3 QBs on the active roster, so people want to keep Howell so he can be inactive 95% of the time? Call the Broncos or the Saints and see if they are interested in him

    Its about play style. Mariota is a lot closer to Daniels as a player than Maye. You don't bring in a backup that is totally different than who you plan to draft.

    Sam Howell is getting traded probably. Mariota certainly seems to indicate the way they are leaning at #2

    That is quite a bit of money for a guard who only started 4 games in 3 seasons.

    Trading Howell doesn't mean anything but the team is smart enough to know a vet backup is always a good option for a rookie QB. I would much rather the vet be Tannehill or Jimmy G over Sam Darnold. I don't see why we didn't try to re-sign Jacoby either?

    I would definitely prefer Tannehill as a backup over Sam Darnold. Also I hope we bring in another kicker to compete because McManus is mid. He was 50% from 50+

    I think there’s still a possibility New England goes the vet route. They were clearly done with Jones though
