We lost today because we blew MULTIPLE GIMMES while the Dutch made every shot count. Also, Berhalter never figured out how to put his best team on the field. Jesus F was a disaster. If we want to play with the big boys, we need to treat them the same way other countries do. There is a lot to like, but a lot to criticize. If we ever dominate CONCACAF (beyond Mexico and Canada) than I would expect better. This cycle team constantly struggled to score. Better than 2018, but still a lot of work. None of the US players should get inspired by these guys... anyone watching soccer is inspired by Ronaldo, Mbappe, or Messi... The Dutch let us have possession because they understand our athleticism but they played the counter perfectly and when you have midfielders not getting back, standing around flat footed when balls are being played into the box its going to end in disaster. These broadcasters just leave so much on the table. From mentioning the clubs teams to pointing out to US fans how different a team with competent strikers appears... both teams have world class strikers. I do think the ref has been generous to Poland... and as I say that another somewhat close call goes against France. The yellow on Tchoumeni was ridiculous... not even a regular foul.
