NoCalMike Posted September 26, 2021 Share Posted September 26, 2021 O-coordinators must have studied this defense a lot and figured out how to exploit the weaknesses, because on paper they are not a worse unit, but they are weak in the spots that leave them venerable. The quick passing game is neutralizing the pass rush, and the rest of the defense is too slow to stop these short passes at the point of the catch, so every QB just drops back looks for the quick dump off pass and it ends up getting 5-7 yards every time because a defender behind the play has to run down to stop the ball carrier.
