Do you really expect a competitive athlete to go up to the head coach and say "you know what, you should probably play the other guy".   Rivera knows he is hurting, that's not a secret, and he is still choosing to play AS.  I don't have a problem with the stance that we may be better off with TH over AS, but to lose respect for AS for not taking himself out of the game is asinine.

Then he should hang in the pocket and take his shots.  He played scared out there. Was dumping balls for 2 yards when there was a clean pocket.  Started running backward and laterally on one Philly blitz before anyone even broke through.  Even when he had time he didn’t let anything develop.

For somebody sitting at a keyboard typing missives about cowardice, what people should and shouldn’t have done, and embarrassments, I’d be marginally interested in what trials and tribulations you have overcome in order to become such an expert.

Yup, he was pretty terrible.  Agreed on that, just not that he is a coward. Also, being ultra conservative is his game.  He is frustrating in that regard even when healthy.

In 2012, we stuck with Robert in the playoff game after he got us up 14-0.  If we switch to Kirk we probably win that game (and Robert doesn't worsen his knee late in that game.) If Alex is gimpy, we will need to play the young guy.  Also, our team has had some good fortune switching qbs at playoff time, just ask Doug Williams.

They've also had good luck leaving a guy with an injured leg in the game because he got them there.

Just ask Doug Williams

He's also smart enough and quick enough arm, to handle blitzes.

So if we face a Master Blitzer, the pleasure will be ours

Is there anything from tonight that makes you say that? Alex was terrible against pressure
