After the way they ****ed up the name announcement, does anyone have any confidence in the organization building a modern complex that will rival the House That Jerruh Built or the Rams/Chargers new palace?

What's sad is it should be a slam dunk. Return to DC n build a 55k-60k seat stadium with a ritzy casino on site. Snyder isn't capable unfortunately.

Not to mention we are now the Commanders.  New name…new feelings for the DC govt.  can’t help but think a major reason Dan agreed to change the name was so he could open doors for a move back to DC.  🤷‍♂️🤞

I think its literally THE reason he changed the name, because nothing means more to him than money, and nothing gets him that more than a big shiny subsidized stadium complex.

As a New Yorker who has been the Shea Stadium and now CitiField, you don't want it close to the airport. It's frustrating enough to watch a losing team, but to have jets taking off and landing, flying over every few minutes is awful.

It wont be in DC. Itll be in NoVA.

Loudoun County builds those giant, town center like multi use developments left and right.  If Patriot Place or Hollywood Park is any kind of model for what Danny wants to do, I can't think of a better place to put it.

I expect a cheap imitation of Jerral Waynes Death Star. 😞

That place is already a little outmoded, as far as stadiums go. The ten years post Jerry World's completion produced some real game changers. I would expect something more similar to SoFi, Allegiant, Tottenham, etc.

It works in Philly just fine.

Where in DC would he be able to build a modern NFL multi use complex? I'm having trouble trying to figure that out.

The RFK site?

According to the little indicator in the bottom righthand part of my computer monitor, it's now 2022. There's approximately zero chance that a new stadium that hasn't even been sited yet could be ready in time for the 2027 season. Even assuming that Bowser could make the federal ownership problem with the RFK site go away, they haven't even demolished RFK yet, let alone dealt with the myriad lawsuits and land-use/zoning NIMBY obstructions that would be coming their way. DC is a neighborhood activist's dream city. That thing could be held up for years before a single bit of ground is dug up.

Allegiant Stadium:

From concept design to completion in only 40 months, Allegiant Stadium is the fastest designed and constructed US football stadium of its size.”

Could happen:  maybe

Will happen:  very damn doubtful
