This.  Sure, the "reveal" this morning was kinda underwhelming.  But all we needed to see is that we're back in modern times, with modern vehicles, pew pews, and gadgets.

I fully expect to be blown away by the gameplay footage come Sunday.

@Dr. Do Itch Big I'm going to need a gunner for my attack boat trolling, big bro. 😈

Good details on what's available in the new battlefield. Would recommend watching.

Summary

- no classes. No assault / recon / medic etc. Instead you have 10 specialists to choose from. Kind of like COD and the 20 operators. You can pick a predefined specialist and if you evolve them enough they will have a skill like a LMG or a sniper tool. It's a new way to approach the whole class thing and I'm eager to see how it plays out.

- the maps are HUGE

- no BR at this time

- very destructive environments and a lot of natural disasters like tornados which is good

Just finished God of War. Loved the fighting mechanics and story. Wish the character progression was more, I dunno, just more. I feel like I spent most of my time collecting **** to upgrade my gear, and then that was pretty much it.

Anyways, what should i play next?

Are you just gonna copy and paste that comment for every trailer at e3?

Depends if they look like PS4/X1 games or not.

That game doesn't even look as good as launch titles for PS5.  I hear it's going to be a Souls type game and it doesn't even look as good as Demon's Souls.

And Halo Infinite didn't look like a PS4/X1 game.  It looked like a PS3/X360 game.

does ME1 feel like a better fit combat wise with 2-3 now?

Its still not as good as 2-3. Its better but still closer to what it was than what 2-3 became. The big thing is any class can use any weapons without the huge penalties which makes things a lot easier. And the UI is cleaner.

The Mako also feels smoother to drive now.

All good options. My favorite from that list is easily Ghost of Tsushima. Good combat. Good story. Exploration is rewarding. If God of War got a 9 from me Ghost of Tsushima gets a 7.8 (in retrospect, and I haven’t played it since the PS5 came out and they improved it)

I still haven’t played Last of us though. But I hear it’s an entire experience in and of itself.

Ghost of Tsushima is one of the very few open world games that I liked and played the **** out of.  I never got bored of it even though it was repetitive as hell.  The environment, sound, graphics, lore, everything kept me interested.  I nearly 100% the game but there were some collectibles I didn't bother getting.

That said, I prefer games like TLOU2 that are super story linear and story driven.

I'd put that and God of War over Ghost of Tsushima for me personally, but God of War also has a history and is another reason I liked that open world game too.  I hope we get some sort of Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 though, built from the ground up.  I can't imagine how good it would look.

Thanks for the feedback.  Have already done TLOU2 (twice) and, unsurprisingly, is probably my first or second favorite PS4 game.  @Llevron you should not wait another minute to play that game, it is incredible.

I think I'll try Ghost of Tsuhima.  I've heard good things (on ES), but have avoided it because, for whatever reason, I initially confused it with Sekiro, which I hated and turned off after 10 minutes.

My wife and I started playing It Takes Two. Wow, what a blast with your significant other on the couch. We've only gotten about 2 hours in. There doesn't seem to be any secrets to find out, but just straight forward gameplay where you have to converse with one another to get by some of the puzzles. We are both loving it.

We also play the Witness together, which was free on PS Stores Days of Play a few weeks back. We both love puzzles and it's been pretty good within the first 3 hours.

I've been playing Kingdom Come Deliverance Royal Edition when she goes to bed. What a great game. You have to be patient as things go, but the story is great and you can play any way you want. I've been a serial killer when I've had the chance. I want to steal people's coins and products without getting caught. I usually find people alone on trails or in the woods and slice them up. I chased one guy into the stream and followed him for like 10 minutes until he drowned. His body went under and then came back to the surface. I swam out and stole his money and stuff.

My favorite part was when I had to lockpick a chest. Lockpicking sucks in the game. So, I waited until the middle of the night for this camp to go to sleep. All of their doors were locked and at 2 a.m. I found one open. I went in and choked the women until she passed out. I got her key to the chest and another building. I opened the chest and what I wanted wasn't in there. I took the key and went to another building. There was another woman. I choked her and grabbed the key to the chest. Got what I wanted and started to leave only to be caught by some dude. Of course, I had to kill him.

Being able to be a serial killer while still looking good in the towns is fantastic to me. I will continue until I beat this game. It might be a year until I get a PS5 and Ratchet & Clank as well as Returnal, but I am o.k. with that.

Yeah, Ratchet and Clank is the best looking game I've ever played. It's incredible looking. The sound is awesome too. What they've done with the haptic triggers is pretty cool too and I've only gotten 2 extra weapons. The control is super tight as well.

I'm playing on the hardest difficulty which is tough so far but that way it will also make the game last longer. And I'm using performance mode with ray tracing.

I don't really understand why they are putting time and effort into these high fidelity modes in these games. Both this game and Demon's Souls (the only 2 I've seen these options on) are virtually unplayable in 30fps mode after seeing it in 60fps mode. It feels even slower than 30fps mode, which it might be, but it just seems like wasted effort for the most part. I guess there are a handful of people who would play games with crappy framerates for a slightly better looking game maybe. But I can't even tell a difference graphically between the two so the difference is super miniscule.
