Has your team support wained due to ownership or can you see past it?

  1. 1. Will you attend a game and support the team while Dan Snyder is the owner of the team, regardless of success?

    • Yes
    • No
    • I would start attending games if Dan was no longer the owner of the team.

I am totally down with that.  He can wear out 10 grad students for all I care. Builds character.

Though, I doubt anybody is going to beat out @Skinsinparadise for number of posts per month.  Or @Califan007 The Constipated for LOLs.  per post, which clearly has to be a category.

I just heard on bmitch and finlay that Tanya made comments back in September on Schefters podcast that her and Dan had discussed whether they’d had enough but that it wasn’t the message they wanna send to their kids.

LOL, this is so beyond laughable.

So, the message they want to send their kids is, "Abuse your underlings, lie when you've been caught, pass the blame on to others, use your money to buy your way out of holes you dug for yourself and throw everyone under the bus you can to survive. Oh, and also, while you're doing this, suck. At EVERYTHING."

To me that says that it’s gotten to a point where it’s no longer enjoyable to own the team anymore.

Wait, Tanya Snyder said that to Schefter and we didn't hear about it?  That's really weird.

It was a pretty big topic at the time, just drowned out by everyone ****ting on her for being so tone deaf in the rest of the conversation. We definitely knew about that comment (the not wanting to sell even though it was really hard bc it would set a bad example for their kids—she was destroyed for making herself and Dan the victims and that quote was part of it)

Tanya probably had to sign a pre-nup.  No way is she divorcing if that’s the case.

Depends, did they get married before he struck it rich in the dot com and telemarketing bubble? He was nobody before that.

At the time the comments that made news was the final 8 names so that was what made headlines instead of the comment about ownership

Thanks guys!  I guess that the name was a really good distraction.

Still, I can't fathom why she would say anything like that.  I guess I need to hear the context.

My bet is no

I can hardly believe that we've actually reached the point where it's now being talked about in public. Here's what it looks like in print. I guess Dan's attempt at a new, younger, hipper look isn't working as well as he'd hoped.

Interesting how the second pic below looks like a perp walk.

>>Mike Florio confirms Junkies report that Beth Wilkinson suggested Dan Snyder sell the team; Owners could be ready to push him out

The bombshell that the Junkies reported was that Wilkinson had suggested that Dan Snyder be forced to divest his interest in the team. This was reportedly due to his interference in the investigation, and the workplace violations that had happened under his watch for years. The written report was never released. or even submitted if you believe the NFL. Details of the findings were also never released due to an agreement that reportedly allowed either side to control what is made available to the public or other entities like Congress.

The Congressional Committee on Oversight and Reform has been trying to investigate Snyder and the Washington franchise further, but is reportedly being stalled by Washington’s refusal to turn over 109,000 documents due to attorney/client privilege. When they held a roundtable over a week ago, a new accuser emerged. Tiffani Johnston accused Dan Snyder of inappropriate behavior that wasn’t previously reported. Her accusations were immediately called “outright lies” by Snyder’s attorney.

Snyder then decided to open up a new “independent” investigation into Tiffany Johnston’s accusations. This was done without consulting the NFL, and they swiftly said they would once again be taking over the investigation. Roger Goodell said that teams can’t investigate themselves. There has been no word on who will be running the NFL’s investigation.

That brings us back to Mike Florio’s report that came out today. He was speaking on a Super Bowl pregame show, and confirmed the Junkies report from last year. Beth Wilkinson suggested that Dan Snyder be forced to sell the Washington Commanders. He also said, and later wrote about, a growing frustration among other NFL owners.

As one ownership-level source recently put it, the Johnston allegations could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for the league, prompting Snyder’s partners to take steps to push him out.

Seriously, if they were counted I would say @China or @visionary wins them hands down each month.

They got married in 1994 according to Wikipaedia.

So she was already married with him when he bought the Redskins and his fortune skyrocketed.

He made some bit of money starting back 1991. So there's not much prior to this as he was worth around $10M or something at the time they married.

Stuck at work all day. What did I miss? Is Snyder gone yet?

In all seriousness, I was thinking at work today about the league allowing Snyder to become sole owner of the team. I am wondering if it was a setup to make it easier to boot his ass? If you have a large ownership group canning all of them might be more difficult than just one. And a single owner also makes it easier to sell the franchise to a Billionaire of the leagues choosing. I really need to learn to get this team out of my damn head.

As the song says, "If you ain't no punk, holla 'We want prenup!'"

And Snyder is a punk.

Therefore there is no prenup I rest my case

It feels like this whole thing was to set Synder up. I think you are right though about single ownership or maybe he is preparing to sell.

If Bezos is the one pushing this and congress changes that will not stop this as he owns all of DC political people.

Bezos is going to take Snyder team.

Well, it seems in our society the only person that can stop a rich and powerful prick is a richer and more powerful prick.

I don't know if there's one or not. I believe he didn't started to be an asshole after buying the team. He didn't started flaming his ex partners prior to buying the team.

Guy is vindictive and not trustworthy. so that would be in character to me for him to require a prenup. But we're just guessing here.

Still considering Dan's history, if there's one, it will most likely backfires on him.

Unfortunately, your right and I think this is wrong, but getting rid of Snyder is good. So I am kinda split of this. Bezos has had this building for a year and a half.

I am starting to think he sells to Bezos on his own for 6 billion. Then tries to get casino in Northern Virginia.

Just listened to a lawyer on 980 (not sure who he was), if he's forced out, Snyder will challenge the veracity of the bylaws. I believe this will get dragged out like the MASN debacle. However, if he is forced out, the team will fall under a conservatorship to run the team.
