Haven’t cut my hair since March 15

or shaved

everyone likes it but the wife.

My hair is the longest it’s been in 30 years.  It’s awesome, but the upkeep is obnoxious.

True story.  I’ve had to switch to the uh...brown bottle “straightener” conditioner.  The Pina Colada white girl stuff wasn’t doing anything to tame my rugged Scottish/Cherokee/Italian  mane.

Now I look like Mufasa.  It’s glorious.

It drives me crazy if I don't shave every couple of days or so.

Once you get past that you don’t even feel it

Although I’ve been warned there’s other stages of that as it goes

i actually am afraid of what it’s going to feel like when I do shave.

I get the not getting hair cut (although that generally means a lot more time spent drying my hair), but I don't know how people go without shaving, lol.

It drives me crazy if I don't shave every couple of days or so.

I'm the complete opposite. I can't stand shaving. I like keeping my beard trimmed fairly short, but I haven't shaved in over a decade and I'm not about to start now.

Just watched The Platform.  Disturbing.

Definitely no social commentary there.

Ive had three days off already, two more to go. I've heard a lot more sirens lately. (Like a couple an hour.)  There are some things I've gotta handle outside the house tomorrow, it'll be awesome to get out farther than the yard. I've been hanging out on the deck with Boo & Ms. Kitty a lot while I can. Boo got really friendly very suddenly, which is fine...he's finally getting that he's safer here. 😻

A co-worker and I met up for lunch, ate outdoors, my first time eating at a restaurant in months.  It was a good sense of some piece of normalcy.

Update.  Still waiting on my results but I probably have it. I feel perfectly fine now. Self isolating for another 10 days. Both my sisters brother and parents both tested positive. Be safe out there.

Man Vandalizes Virginia Coffee Shop After Refusing to Wear Mask

Quote

A Virginia community is showing support for a coffee shop after a man who refused to wear a mask vandalized the place.

The man walked into Abyssinia Market and Coffee House in Old Town Alexandria Sunday morning right past a sign requiring customers wear a face mask. But he refused to wear one.

Lily Damtew, who runs the shop, offered the man a mask of her own, but he still refused.

"Then I open the door and I ask him to leave," she said.

She said the man spat on her feet.

“And he called me a B-word, an F-word," she said.

When the man left, Damtew wiped the spit from her shoe and called police.

The man came back with a bowl of food and threw it all over her outside table and chairs.

"You can see the stain," Damtew said.

Then he threw food on her storefront.

“Everything was covered," she said.

Alexandria police say they found the man responsible, but he was not charged. Police would only say he's receiving services at a local facility.

It was just Abyssinia’s second day reopened. Damtew decided to close again.

If anyone is unclear, Virginia requires by law that people wear cloth face coverings when in an indoor public setting.  https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus/cloth-face-covers/

My neighbor got into a verbal altercation with a man at the ABC store that refused to wear a mask.  These people are a scourge.

Speaking of haircuts I just brushed out Terra, my long coat Shepherd. The amount of fur I raked out could fill a pillow case. I'm not exaggerating.  Wonder if I can donate it to some group that makes wigs for Shepherds undergoing chemotherapy.

I translated that to a mental health care facility.  Maybe that's just wishful thinking, because I think these people refusing to wear masks have a screw loose.

Is it me or do I want my cake to look like cake and not like something else?  I don't want my cake looking like an onion.  If you eat with your eyes then that's just wrong.

I have a coarse beard and when this first started I didnt shave for 2 weeks.  Awful decision.  First tie ever I let me beard grow that long. Like him, it drove me crazy and was itchy the whole time and drove me crazy.  But then you get to shaving it all off, which is a whole other ordeal.  Never letting my beard grow more than a couple days again.  lol
