Newsweek: Alex Jones and Other Conservatives Call For Civil War Against Liberals

And now we get to the salacious stuff (I guess we know what the "intimate" texts were):

Alex Jones sent nude photo of wife to Roger Stone, Sandy Hook lawyer reveals

Lawyers for the notorious American conspiracy theorist Alex Jones accidentally gave his legal adversaries a nude photo of his wife that he had texted to the conservative political operative Roger Stone, an attorney involved in the matter has acknowledged.

The seemingly farcical – but entirely true – development was the latest bit of fallout since one of the attorneys for a family suing Jones for defamation revealed last week that Jones’s own lawyer had inadvertently handed over numerous text messages belonging to the far-right provocateur and then failed to take steps to keep them out of court.

The lawyer, Mark Bankston, the recipient of the accidental leak, appeared on Monday on the Young Turks progressive news commentary show to confirm that one of the texts in question contained a naked photo of Jones’s wife sent to Stone, once an adviser to former president Donald Trump.

Bankston also expressed concern about whether Jones had obtained permission from his wife, Erika Wulff Jones, to send that photo to Stone or anyone else.

“I don’t know if that was consensual,” said Bankston, who recently won a nearly $50m judgment against Jones for the family of a six-year-old boy killed during the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting, which for years Jones falsely claimed was a hoax aimed at forcing nationwide gun control reform.

“And if it wasn’t consensual, Mrs Wulff Jones should know about that, and there might be something that needs to be done about that.”

Alex Jones issues ‘emergency message’ begging Trump to watch his show after publicly backing DeSantis

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones created a minor media storm this week when he announced that he would no longer “pigheadedly” support Donald Trump.

Instead, he announced on his Infowars show that he would now be supporting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis saying he was “someone who is better than Trump”.

He’s right. If you want those policies and style of government I imagine DeSantis is better.

I always looked at trump’s administration as likely frustrating for the GOP. Because I imagine they spent a lot of time trying to get him on the same page. DeSantis would be able to accomplish more I would bet

This is the conundrum for me. I'm almost at a point where I'm hoping Tя☭mp gets the nom instead of DeathSantis. Tя☭mp would start out as a lame duck and he bumbles most of his evil plans. DeathSantis has shown himself to be incredibly efficient at implementing fascism in Florida. OTOH, a second Tя☭mp regime followed by two with DeathSantis and it's all over.

42 minutes ago, Hersh said:

DeSantis is a full blown fascist ****. It does feel like that the next GOP Fascist leader is going to dismantle so much more than what Trump did and will effectively end the USA.

Huey Long thought that same ****

Sandy Hook families accuse Alex Jones of transferring millions to himself while claiming bankruptcy

Families of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting said in a court filing Thursday that Alex Jones “systematically transferred millions of dollars” to himself and his relatives while claiming bankruptcy to avoid compensating the families in the several lawsuits he faces.

The families of nine Sandy Hook victims asked the federal bankruptcy court judge to order that Jones relinquish control of Free Speech Systems, the parent company of Jones’ far-right, conspiracy theory website Infowars.

“Since the Sandy Hook Families filed their lawsuits, the Debtor has systematically transferred millions of dollars to Alex Jones and his relatives and insider entities,” the filing reads. “It claims to owe a massive, secured debt to an insider that was first documented as a loan when the Sandy Hook Families were securing key wins in Connecticut and Texas, but no records show that an actual debt existed before the Sandy Hook Families sued.”

“There are no honest debtors here,” the families say in the filing, adding that Jones was attempting to avoid paying them as they seek damages for falsely claiming that the school shooting, where 20 students and six educators were killed, was a hoax.

I hope they do force him to give up his company, or at least control of it so the funds no longer go to him or where he directs them.

'I killed the children!' InfoWars host Alex Jones has huge meltdown and sarcastically claims he butchered 20 kids at Sandy Hook elementary school after losing $50M defamation verdict

Embattled InfoWars host Alex Jones embarked on a full-blown tirade after being asked about the Sandy Hook shooting in an on-air interview - his first since he was ordered to pay more than $50million to the victims' families by a Texas judge.

The interview saw Jones speak publicly for the first time since the bombshell defamation ruling, with journalist and Youtuber Andrew Callaghan, known for his YouTube series All Gas No Brakes and his current show Channel 5.

During the sit-down, Callaghan - who has a reputation for asking his participants sometimes-tough questions - poised a question about the shooting to Jones, 48, causing the famously outspoken host to erupt in a fit of apparent frustration.

What ensued was a strange, two minute rant that saw the talking head sarcastically claim that he, himself, was responsible for the deaths of the 20 kids and six staff at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2021, shot to death by 20-year-old Adam Lanza.

A clip of the exchange posted by Callaghan's team over the weekend has since garnered more than a quarter-of-a-million views and more than 17,000 likes - as the figurative financial noose around the alt-right advocate's neck continues to tighten.

Trial set to begin for Alex Jones in Sandy Hook hoax case

A month after losing one nearly $50 million verdict, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is set to go on trial a second time for calling the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting a hoax and causing several of the victims’ families emotional and psychological harm.

A six-member jury with several alternates in Connecticut will begin hearing evidence Tuesday on how much Jones should pay the families, since he already has been found liable for damages to them. The trial is expected to last about four weeks.

Last month, a Texas jury ordered Jones to pay $49.3 million to the parents of 6-year-old Jesse Lewis, one of 26 students and teachers killed in the 2012 shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. Jones’ lawyer has said an appeal is planned.

The Connecticut case has the potential for a larger award because it involves three lawsuits — which have been consolidated — that were filed by 15 plaintiffs, including the relatives of nine of the victims and a former FBI agent who responded to the school shooting.

Jones, who runs his web show and Infowars brand in Austin, Texas, also faces a third trial over the hoax conspiracy in another pending lawsuit by Sandy Hook parents in Texas.

Alex Jones and Infowars Were Immediately Sanctioned 5 Minutes Into His Second Damages Trial

Alex Jones and Infowars' second damages trial began in Connecticut today with an immediate—and very significant—ruling against them. Judge Barbara Bellis, who’s presiding over the case, ruled that because Jones and Infowars did not turn over Google Analytics data about the company’s traffic to the plaintiffs, they will not be allowed to make any arguments that they didn’t significantly profit from their Sandy Hook coverage. Jones and other Infowars personalities repeatedly claimed, for years on end, that the 2012 mass shooting was a hoax, a position Jones has insisted he no longer holds.

This is the second damages trial for Jones and Infowars, who were found liable by default in a series of civil cases in Texas and Connecticut late last year. The default ruling means that this trial, like the previous one in Texas, is solely meant to determine the amount of damages Jones and the company will owe. The first trial, with a different set of plaintiffs, ended with Jones and Infowars being ordered to pay a total of $49.3 million in damages. The Connecticut plaintiffs are eight families whose children died at Sandy Hook and an FBI agent who responded to the scene.

As court proceedings got underway today, before the jury was brought in, plaintiffs’ attorney Alinor Sterling asked Bellis to grant sanctions against Jones and Infowars, saying they discovered a Google Analytics spreadsheet about Infowars traffic through June 2019 does exist, after the defendants claimed it didn’t. (Sterling said her legal team discovered the spreadsheet existed on Friday afternoon, apparently in reviewing a deposition, although that point was not totally clear.)

Sterling called this part of a “sequence of misconduct” committed by Infowars, adding that it was “profoundly disturbing” and should result in what she called “significant sanctions.” Norm Pattis, a longtime attorney for Jones and Infowars, said he was “not happy” that Infowars hadn’t turned over the Google Analytics data, but he argued it was not relevant, and there was no evidence that Infowars had used this data to shape its on-air coverage.

In making her sanctions ruling, Judge Bellis said that Jones and Infowars had a “stunningly cavalier attitude with respect to their discovery obligations,” and said they had “consistently engaged in dilatory and obstructive discovery practices”; discovery refers to the documents they were legally required to turn over to the other side. Bellis said that attitude led, in part, to the default judgement against them. She ruled that Jones and Infowars won’t be allowed to argue they didn’t significantly profit from Sandy Hook coverage; that will likely represent a significant blow to their attempts to limit the amount of damages the company will have to pay.

Alex Jones Rants that Judge in Sandy Hook Case is George Soros Operative Because of Her ‘Purple, Blue’ Hair

Alex Jones is back at it again in a new tell-all interview with Steven Crowder where he claims that the judge from his July Sandy Hook trial was an operative for George Soros.

Jones was the guest for the Wednesday edition of Louder with Crowder where he discussed his trial.

In a clip circulating Twitter via Jason Campbell, Jones even vaguely referenced Judge Maya Guerra Gamble who presided over his July trial which saw the radio host ordered to pay over $45 million dollars to Sandy Hook families.

“They’ll sue you in the jurisdiction with a judge assigned to take control. And who’s a political operative? This lady’s a Soros operative and admits she is on her our own, you know, Facebook. They will then pick the judge, sue you, and then for years say ‘We want your discovery.’ And each time say ‘This isn’t it. We want more, we want your bank accounts. We want the emails. We want the text messages,'” Jones said.

“And then when you give them everything they say, ‘You’re defaulted. You didn’t give us anything.’ And now they go and have a jury trial on how guilty you are. So you’re not innocent until proven guilty. You’re not guilty until proven innocent. You are guilty until proven how guilty. And the judge told them 25 times, ‘He is guilty. You decide how much money he owes. He is guilty of this,'” he continued.

Crowder pushed back, saying, “Let me ask you this cause everything else you just said, I just agree with. But you said Soros operative. She admits it on her Facebook. That’s the kind of stuff for people to say, ‘Well, she doesn’t say I’m a Soros operative.’ What do you mean by that? Cause that’s the kind thing the media will take out of context and say, ‘Alex Jones says that she said on her Facebook, she’s a Soros operative and that’s not true. Therefore, everything else he said is not–‘”

“If you go there, she’s got purple blue hair and has all these Soros-funded PACs on the site. And she gets money out of the packs that are funded by Soros. Just like the Austin DA is famous for letting people that shoot people out of jail the next day,” Jones replied.

Alex Jones lawyer appears to tweet and fall asleep during Connecticut trial

Alex Jones’s lawyer appeared to tweet and fall asleep this week during the right-wing conspiracy broadcaster’s ongoing damages trial in Connecticut.

Mr Jones is notably on trial for making false claims about the Sandy Hook school massacre in 2012.

On Thursday, as proceedings continued to determine how much in damages Jones owes to Sandy Hook families, attorney Norm Pattis appeared to be on Twitter. Mr Pattis was apparently commenting on news that Florida governor Ron DeSantis helped coordinate two planes full of undocumented migrants to be sent to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.

“This is going to fun to watch,” Mr Pattis wrote as the trial continued, HuffPost reporter Sebastian Murdock noted.

Courtroom broadcasts also showed Mr Pattis apparently dozing off during the damages trial on Tuesday.
