Alex Jones' ex-wife says he's a "dangerous kind of mentally ill"

Kelly Rebecca Nichols, the ex-wife of disgraced conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, revealed to The Young Turks on Sunday that Jones is a far worse character in person than he is on television.

The couple divorced in 2015, and Nichols has become a vocal critic of Jones as he faces trials for defamation filed by the families of the victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.

"As a human being, he is more unhinged and weirder and terrifying and threatening and looming and raging than on screen," Nichols said.

Jones is "modified on screen," Nichols continued. "You can see this when he says, 'oh I have to go off the air right now,' cause he's going back into like the real person, right? The real rage is coming out and it's so extreme that his staff, you can tell, is like, 'you need to go off.'"

Why would anyone want to gag Alex Jones at this point?  Every time he opens his mouth, his victims get another million dollars.

I think the sandy hook families would probably take his permanent silence over any dollar amount.

The YouTube Channel Streaming Alex Jones’s Trial Disabled The Chat Because Of Threats To Sandy Hook Victims' Families

Today is the fifth day of the trial in Waterbury, Connecticut, to determine how much Alex Jones will have to pay in damages to the families of eight victims (and one FBI agent) of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012.

The suit was filed against Jones in 2018. He failed to cooperate with the plaintiffs’ lawyers, hand over requested documents, and was generally such a pain in the ass to the judge that he lost by default judgment.

The trial, which is being livestreamed in its entirety on YouTube by the Law & Crime channel, has had thousands of viewers each day since it began last week, although Jones himself has yet to testify.

As always on Law & Crime’s streams, there are hundreds of active and colorful commenters, but trial viewers and Twitter users had noted from day one that the chat was littered with the same conspiracy theories that Jones now faces paying damages for.

The chat was so overrun with people making threats toward the victims’ families and suggesting that the shooting had never occurred that the Law & Crime channel disabled the chat function on Tuesday and removed archived chats from the previous days’ trial livestreams as well.

Hopefully he will eventually get help so he can reach Steps 8 and 9 and make amends, especially to the people of Sandy Hook.

But if he hits the bottom of the barrel and hits a brick wall at 90 mph with a bottle of vodka in his lap, I'm fine with that as well.

I love how he claims that he's not testifying because if he did he'd perjure himself.  So he knows he's incapable of telling the truth.

Quote

His attorney, Norm Pattis, told the court Wednesday that Jones is "boycotting" the trial because he would commit perjury if he testifies under the court's orders.

So judgement of nearly $1B.  He's ****ed.  I know they won't get all of that, but even if he ends up having to pay 1/10 of that, on top of what he owes from the other lawsuit, he's done.

Now the problem will be selling off all of his assets and finding the money he has already hidden away.

He's crazy enough to try hiding anything offshore and bolting the US. Or taking a quicker way out.
