Remember twa is the dude that personally filled up over 100 pages of this forum talking about Hillary’s e-mails and only Hillary’s e-mails.

The Trump Cult has made it perfectly clear that they only consider national security important when a Dem is involved. We have a sitting President being investigated for his relationship with Russia and all they can do is fine fault with the investigation.

Quote
They debated a range of possibilities, according to portions of transcripts of two FBI officials' closed-door congressional interviews obtained by CNN. On one end was the idea that Trump fired Comey at the behest of Russia. On the other was the possibility that Trump didn't have an improper relationship with the Kremlin and was acting within the bounds of his executive authority, the transcripts show.

There needs to be a reckoning of the American Right.  Of their political leaders and their voters.  The constant gaslighting.  The whataboutism and moral relativism.  The embrace of blatant corruption and the erosion of sacred democratic institutions, whose health are protected by norms and good faith governance rather than code and law.  The ugly nativism and fear-mongering.  The open support for white supremacy.  The embrace of authoritarianism.  The utter lack of patriotism.  Hell, the explicit support for treason.  The American Right is guilty of each and every one of those things and they're killing our political culture and our democracy.  This includes their voters.  They gleefully feed the cancer that's killing us.

Nothing is changing the GOP from the inside.

If 2018 is any indication, in 2020 the left and center-left will do its job of voting in mass numbers. So will the GOP base.

The center, which includes the suburban center-right need to recognize the GOP for the existential cancer to this country that it is.

If the sensible center-right wants to make it self relevant ever again, it has to vote left for a few elections to make the far right a loser ideology. This means that the center-right has to be willing to concede ground on some issues to the left-wing coalition. No idea if this will happen at any scale.

Tbf, she said it after the intelligence agencies said it. That was the same day as the Access Hollywood tape.

My fear is the new democratic wave led by the likes of AOC(whom I love by the way)is going to turn off the moderates. They may not vote GOP but they may also not vote Dem. Same reason many didn't vote for Bernie.

The Trump Cult worshippers will come out in waves to support him no matter what he does. I do believe there are more reasonable and logical people in this country, but they gotta accept the new direction the Democratic party may be headed in.

What is it going to take for Republicans to jump off the Trump train? The guy is an asset of our primary enemy and has shut down the government for a vanity project.  What more do you need?

How can you call yourself an American if you root and praise a person who is actively destroying our country for his own self interest.

I'm not even sure a Mueller report detailing all the treason and corruption is going to be enough for the people that still worship him.  It's a real bummer. I wish we were better than this.

For God's Sake invoke the ****ing 25th amendment already.

It's never going to happen. The sad reality is that they are too afraid of his base to act, which is hilarious because with Trump out of the picture, who are these morons going to vote for? They are still going to vote R so everyone in congress is safe. It's not like Trump is going to be swinging primaries while dealing with court issues and removal from office.

If it's a clean break and removal from Trump, the political suicide is severely reduced.
