I think sea level rise impact will hit NJ and Florida the hardest, first.

California has been preparing for it for 15+ years and has a topography advantage, but will still see an inpact on homes in silicon valley and the greater LA area.

I used to work for the state DOT and we talked about it a lot under the the previous federal adminstrations. It's a damn shame that the current admin is anti science as this will likely set us back as a nation significantly for generations.

What happens when the highway system near the major ports are under water?

Do we need to loan you engineers to show how to elevate highways? :)

Elevate already built highways? ****, maintenance of the existing ones already outpaces federal and state funding levels.

Not to mention the cost of having to do the extra seismic support work on elevated highways...on top of that any additional construction of new highways is largely hampered because officially you are adding capacity and that has a huge air quality problem associated with it...in a state that already struggles with air quality...

In 13 words you defined the ignorance of the entire position you have taken ever since i have started to read your posts.

It would be truly amazing if it wasn't so mind numbingly frustrating to watch the absolute idiocy it takes to believe politics over science at work right in front of our eyes.

Tell me, oh bastion of conservative values...

Who shall pay for this when it comes?

You fail to understand Trump's brilliance.

If international trade has a deficit, it's underwater, and who better to handle something underwater than the Ocean Science Department.

Check and mate.

I need a delayed emoji for this. Something that starts out laughing, pauses, and then with lip quivering starts bawling.
