AsburySkinsFan
LoL! I forgot about Palin's Paul Revere revisioning. Gotta love Faux News allowing her a platform to spin her idiocy for millions of others. Yet, people still watch that brain dead network, self reinforcing echo chambered narratives with zero tolerance for discernment and integrity. Just win baby win. After Trump won the election, someone (I forgot who) asked him if he would read any Presidential biographies to prepare himself for what was ahead, and Trump replied that he'd NEVER read a biography, but would like to someday. mistertim
"Well Andrew Jackson was very against the Vietnam war and so was I and also I rang bells and he rang bells too when he was telling everyone that prohibition was against the 2nd amendment and that we weren't going to take that and the civil war happened once and Jackson warned the British that we were armed and that we wanted to have slaves but that it was against the 34th amendment so we needed to go to the moon and ring bells to figure out what the hell was going on. Why did the civic revolutionary war happen? We'll never know." - Deep Thoughts by Donald Trump, tomorrow, probably. Trump is basically a far less stable Jack Handey with nuclear weapons. Seriously, if you are reading this and you honestly still support Trump and believe what he is saying then get a tutor, start picking up books and read, spend less time watching WCW and educate yourself. For those who honestly believe that Trump isn't the best candidate for the job but better than the alternative, go home you're drunk.
DogofWar1
Well, Trump is all in on eliminating the legislative filibuster. He wants his blank check legislative branch, and he wants it now.
AsburySkinsFan
There's your President ladies and gentlemen. Actively adocating government shutdown and wanting to turn the Senate into the House of Representatives. He'll also be HONORED to meet with Kim Jung Il, honored.... mistertim
So he wants to eliminate the filibuster as well as "break up" the 9th circuit court of appeals. Doesn't sound like a totalitarian dictator at all.
Cooked Crack
Trump stays with the tough talk but then folds in the end. He could have had a shutdown at the end of week if he really wanted. This dude is a paper tiger domestically and internationally. The longer he goes on the more people will realize the emperor has no clothes. Next four to eight years gonna be so aggravating. I love the filibuster --- GOP embraced it under Obama after 2010....

It's the "wiretapp" defense. The shutdown like the wall is metaphorical.
No Excuses
I hope its a Republican who gets rid of the legislative filibuster. It will nicely pave the way for a socialist left United States down the line. You can do a lot more legislation on the left without it than on the right. Once the government expands, much more difficult to shrink it. I suspect Mitch McConnel knows this and hence why conservatives in Senate don't even mention it. Yeah, The Turtle is many things, but stupid isn't one of them. He knows that he would be dooming the future of the GOP by doing anything like that. No way in hell will they even think of trying it. DogofWar1
Donald Trump is historically unpopular AND wants total control of government? That's a recipe for a wave election. Imagine 2008 to 2010 without the legislative filibuster? Now imagine that, but with Bernie Sanders as President. I suspect enough GOP Senators know better. Thats why I'm really hoping he is serious enough to make further calls for nuking it. America will move so far to the left permanently the next time Dems regain complete control of the government like 2008. These chumps cant even repeal and replace Obamacare which was supremely light weight compared to what a real leftist healthcare program will look like. And then on top of that you can probably add on free college education and a bunch of other Democratic wet dreams of expanding government power. Not only did they fail in repealing and replacing Obamacare, but they actually managed to make it more popular in the process. That takes ham handedness to a whole new level.
