I realize that Trump and the people he surrounds himself with are, for the most part, WILDLY incompetent people who only morons like, but jiminy ****buckets this is a big one.

DOJ needs to arrest her basically pronto.  Like she should not be able to leave the MTP set without federal marshals escorting her ass to jail.

to me the fun part is the marine general getting rolled that way by a transparent lame-o like omarosa and that such a clown is able to even get away with such a thing in the sit room---pure trump admin gold

:rofl89:@ conservatives excruciatingly concerned about violation of nat sec protocols under clinton (more than a few non-crazed crticisms quite on point, as seems to be the case with most previous admins if you do your homework)  but then elect and support this cosmic ****show of zero competency in this area...not even counting the outright traitorous components as they may or may not  <cough> exist

and how about jay and rudy hosting sean's show... just a big yuk it up comedy act becuase times are groovy in trumpland...forget anyone carrying on about liberal media bias (which can be an intelligently discussed thing)...the way the majority right seems to think you respond to said bias is to go all-out in the same direction multiplying the bias by a factor of 10 across their conservative group of platforms that are mindbogglingly dishonest and basically pravda on steroids...awesome...sometimes i think the ONLY core value accurately applied to conservatives/gopers (esp. their in-house evangelicals) is a level of hypocrisy not available to other humans....

the dems/left have so many flaws but they're such a distant second in dangerous levels of serious dysfunction compared to the maladjusted cesspool that is a majority percentage of the gop/right at this point that i don't even get to that stuff :ols: ....so tired of lying crazy rudy and how typically representative of trumpworld he is...sure, rudy is hardly anywhere near the top of the list (hardly a redemptive fact), but were i a cosmic janitor cleaning the toilet bowl of humanity i'd think of rudy as a visible  ****-stain...oh wait, that's santorum...you really don't want to leave any ****-stains, even if they're not big ones

Oh, my general (and completely unsupported) opinion is that almost everybody at that level is firmly convinced that their august elevatedness renders them above petty things like security classifications.  That the only time they even think about classifications is when they want to use it to impress a subordinate with their elevatedness.

(In fact, my opinion of the level of security awareness that most people at those levels is so low that I look at what we've learned about Hillary's emails, and I suspect that she probably did a better job of protecting classified information than most people at that level.  Not because I think she's any model of ethical behavior, but just because I assume the typical staffer at that level is worse.)

And yeah, I assume that, on that scale, the Trump Administration ranks far below average.  Just to start at the top, does anybody here honestly thing that junior being denied a security clearance stops anybody in the administration from giving him everything in the place?

Edit:  Even better example.

Remember back lack when one of Trump's first official actions was to invite the Russian ambassador to the White House, with a Russian "camera crew" (US media not allowed), and gave them the identity of an Israeli agent within ISIS, just to impress them with what great classified info he gets now?

Or how about the fact he colluded with an enemy nation to undermine the integrity of our democracy.

The superficial "patriotism" of Trump lovers when it comes to the anthem issue is just a nifty repackaging of support for white supremacy.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In a development that could dramatically change the composition of the federal penitentiary system, Republicans are projected to pick up as many as seventy seats in prison, a leading incarceration expert said on Thursday.

“Prognostication is an inexact science,” Davis Logsdon, who studies conviction rates of corrupt politicians for the University of Minnesota’s Guilt Project, said. “Having said that, if current indictment trends hold up, the Republicans could be flipping at least seventy key prison seats.”

Making recordings in the situation room might be a place to start.  (Although I could see the argument that it hinges on what she recorded.  If the didn't record (or didn't keep) any classified material, maybe she's clear.)

She wouldn’t be charged with anything because she didn’t do anything illegal unless, as you mentioned, she recorded and shared classified information.

However she will lose any clearances she had. You don’t bring prohibited items into a SCIF, even if the meeting you’re having in there is unclassified, period.
