Friday night bored I get it...let's be real rg3 is starting week 1.

I would have agreed with you before this but I think it all depends upon how Kirk plays. There is more here than meets the eye. But I don't blame you for thinking nothing has changed since we are talking about Dan Snyder's Redskins.

hahahhaaa, TK is more reliable than a yugo on the fritz, is that what you are saying/? I think he made it clear, it was a joking convo, not a team statement.

Well this is, in fact, a new rg3 thread so it must be MAJOR news lol

I think he's just checked out. If he has any chance of an nfl future he has to be somewhere else and he knows it. Perhaps this latest little thing is just the last straw for gruden, Scot and even dan.

But concussions are more serious than we acknowledge even now. I'm sure after his latest knee surgery he was given a long talk about whether he should keep playing football, and probably getting a similar talk now. Whatever happens, hope he's healthy for the sake of his family.

I understand your point...I think it's gonna be fools gold if Kirk does anything half way decent.

Poor NFL independent neurologist. Everything was fine in his life until they sent him to Redskins Park. He walked through the doors and instantly became incompetent. There must be a gas leak there or something.

I think the reality is Robert had a concussion before that last play. This idea that a neurologist would risk his career to lie for a football team that he doesn't work for all so they can play their back up QB is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. If you want Kirk to play, you just bench Robert. They've already done it twice before, why would this be any different?

a strange twist no doubt, but clearly robert is done with the redskins. i have also read several posts where rg3 should go to another team to succeed, i have serious doubts that he can do that. he is a career backup at best now. Good guy no doubt, but one of the biggest draft busts in the modern era.

No, I agree for the most part. I was referring to the part about clearing him to play tackle football tomorrow and then coming back and saying "well, on 2nd thought it's actually going to be about two more weeks…" as being incompetent.

fwiw, in my professional experience, this sort of thing would raise zero eyebrows. now being it's part of the redskin universe, who knows what all's going on for sure. if you want the rational take, it would to be to accept it at face value given the nature of the specialist's role here---he's not a redskins employee.

 

if ya "need" to go with some FO manipulation "angle" that's a little less "big conspiracy theory",  perhaps they sat on the info awhile to release it during a quiet time.

Or you could go with a complete opposite conspiracy theory which would work well on ES.  Danny insisted RG3 practice this week because he wants RG3 to start even though Gruden wanted to sit him and wait for doctors to clear him.  After all, Danny would do anything to force Gruden to play Robert, even through a concussion eval.

So who was it that called into 980 And wanted to see Cousins with the First team tonight, wondered if RG3 will really play.  Man... if you were guessing, its time to roll the dice on something good ;)

 

Maybe the neurologist is a RG3 fan and doesn't think he'll survive so is trying to protect him with the diagnosis.  I'm not sure what exactly goes into these things, how they determine you have a concussion or that you need to sit out that long.
