DarrellsMyHero28
While I'm glad the Redskins did something about it, this doesn't surprise me. Going to FedEx is a miserable experience, and that's coming from someone that loves nothing more than watching football in person. From the location to the food, most everything about it is awful...including many of the fans. I have been to countless college football games (where the drinking/tailgating is much more a part of the game day experience) and there are no where close to as many fights/problems like this. I cannot wait for Snyder to move back to DC.
wholee
I'm not insensitive to the story. That's really unfortunate. This is however where we play and bashing the place isn't going to make a new stadium appear. That's keep things positive and continue to support this Redskins team that are doing wonderful things, whether from your home or at FedEx field. HTTR! SkinsCrushCowboys
Sucks, another reason why I do not take the road trip from Richmond any longer. On a positive note, the fact that the place was loud enought to cause problems is a step in the right direction. It is a thin line to walk between allowing fans to celebrate, be loud and cheer and preventing drunk fans from ruining the experience for thois around them. In a similar story, I got yelled at while standing at the kegorator this weekend getting a beer and was apparently blocking the view in the man garage. No one put a W on my cup, but I did have to endure some cursing, questioning my manhood and something about moving my lady parts. Hail
Long n Left
I have been to many Redskins away games, and usually come away with a positive experience, regardless of outcome (of course, it is much better when the Skins win.) I have told people time and again that, after leaving the awesome tailgating experience in the Fed Ex parking lots, the game day experience in the stadium is among the worst in football. Fans do play a part in this, but the lack of amenities that seem standard at many other stadiums, churlish and/or impossible to find staff, and costly prices also make Fed Ex a less than welcoming place. I hope that Snyder soon builds a palace back in the city (rebuild RFK maybe,) and affords us Redskins fans the experience the best football fans on the planet deserve. KyleVA
I'm glad that he was apologized to and received on field passes. Not sure if it's worth missing that 76-yarder by Griffin though. Longest run by a QB in sixteen years; nothing beats knowing you were there - but hopefully what they've done as an apologize settles his qualms with the organization, he seems happy. Sticksboi05
I would have refused to exit the stadium without speaking to the supervisor. I would've said, we had no W on our ticket until he wrote it as he escorted us out. I would also say he has been extremely disrespectful and unprofessional throwing profanity at us while we were absolutely calm. And if the usher had tried to literally throw you out of the stadium I would tell him to get his hands off me if he didn't want a lawsuit. The guy admitted he didn't know the rule and that if he'd been warned he would have stopped. This wasn't defiance of the rules, it was some power hungry FedEx Field usher who thinks he's a SS agent. Thirtyfive2seven
mark the Homer is awesome for doing that. it's good to know that we have someone here who can actually help the fans out if they have a complaint. You sir, rock. It's good to know that we have someone here that can actually help the fans out in these situations. As for the article I'm not skeptical at all. I believe everything they said and I doubt there was even an exaggeration. The upper deck is the worse place to sit!
#98QBKiller
I forwarded this thread to one of the staff at FedExField and was told that they have already contacted the author of the linked post and that the issue is resolved. Thanks for doing that Mark. I just came across this story on http://www.reddit.com/r/Redskins/ and was going to post it here in case it hadn't been already. It's amazing that this many fans can get together and make something happen for a fellow fan thanks to the internet.
BRAVEONTHEWARPATH93
I hope that douche is fired... Most of the attendants are nice IMO however. They let me come sit in the club level with my uncles last year...no questions asked
Boss_Hogg
At least you all had an usher. My brother and I have to evolve from fans into peacekeepers whenever our usher is MIA.
Zazzaro703
Thats BS. I would have refused to leave until I spoke to his supervisor. He's just an usher and I wouldnt have tolorated him cursing at me either. Yup, had that happened to me at a game I paid 320 for.... I guarantee the people in my section would leave FedEx with a story to tell their friends the rest of their lives after the scene I would have raised. tshile
he didn't pay 320 for the game. standing room only seats are not 320 dollars a game. he paid that for the season.
Dont Taze Me Bro
he didn't pay 320 for the game. standing room only seats are not 320 dollars a game.he paid that for the season. Even if he paid $1 to get in the game, it doesnt make it right. Hell, if that happened to me and I had gotten free tickets to the game I would have raised hell and refused to leave. No punk ass usher can make me move and I would welcome a call to security or his boss. Not saying I would get into a physical brawl, but I would stand my ground and if the punk put his hands on me, well that's a different story. Stugein
I think what we need is some inspirational quotes: "GET LOUD! ... WE CAN'T HEAR YOU! ... GET ON YOUR FEET!" - FedEx Field Video Screen Wait a minute...

rskin72
I have not had an issue with ushers being rude....actually just the opposite, the ones I have spoken with have always been polite and helpful. If one was not, however, then I would certainly get his/her name and file a complaint with FEDEX. As another poster mentioned here, I would have requested to speak with the supervisor of this cussing moron.....no need for that type of reaction from the paid help....they are paid to act professional. Glad to hear the rest of the story, and that apparently the Redskins FO thought that their ushers may have been in the wrong and offered some nice compensation in the form of a field pass and apology. Of course, the fan in question DID MISS the most exciting play I have seen at FEDEX since I have been a STH.......
Sticksboi05
I would not have wanted an apology from the PR department. I would've gotten that unprofessional clown's name and demanded an apology from him.

I didn't say the cost of the ticket justified the treatment. I was correcting the idea that standing room only tickets cost $320 a game. And you can talk all you want on the internet, but your standing your ground mentality will get you put in cuffs. If you don't listen to and respect the ushers, they just bring in the police. Dah-Dee
I would not have wanted an apology from the PR department. I would've gotten that unprofessional clown's name and demanded an apology from him. This is what needs to happen, and the Redskins should make it happen. Their employee(s) treated this customer with utter disrespect, should be required to formally apologize and should be disciplined. I'm guessing other season ticket holders in the same SRO area witnessed this series of events and can confirm at least in part what happened. If Nick Saban can require a freshman defensive lineman to 'apologize in writing for a ridiculous takedown,' why can't Daniel Snyder ask a paid employee to do the same exact thing? mi6
Some folks just enjoy a power trip! If true, it's a sorry state of affairs. Fans should be able to enjoy themselves ... as long as they are being civil and non-violent.
Mondak
One of many reasons that I don't like going to the games. TV is great. I don't have to deal with a-hole drunks, massive traffic or jackbooted ushers on a power trip. I can't see why anyone goes to games any more but, whatever. SkinsFTW
I wouldn't go to the games even if I lived in the area because its so much better on TV. I get similar treatment from my wife during games as well but she doesn't charge me 10 bucks a beer and she might even bring me one to my seat if I'm not yelling and screaming. skinfan2k
There is no better view than the stadium. People can say that watching at home you can see better, but if you watch football, alot of the stuff you cant see at home
