China
How about they don't go out and have wild drunk sex??? :whoknows: Then you'd never get stories like this: Woman charged with adultery after park incident BATAVIA — A 41-year-old woman caught having sex on a picnic table in a Batavia park faces a rare charge of adultery after an officer saw her and a man in the act, city police said today. renaissance
According to Peruvian news agencies, Van der Sloot told police that he became enraged when he found Flores looking at information - reportedly related to Alabama teen Natalee Holloway - on his laptop, reports CBS News correspondent Elaine Quijano. When NBC interviewed the Peruvian girl's cousin or uncle (not sure) a few days after the killing, he said that he and the girl had recently been talking about the Halloway case and van der Sloot. I don't know how true that was, but I wonder if so, if she knew who she was leaving the casino with, or if perhaps she realized who she was with when she got back to the hotel. I wonder if there's any chance she KNOWINGLY attempted to go home with him? I mean, from what I understand, Scott Peterson gets marriage proposals from women all the time despite being in prison. There is a group of women out there who are captivated by and drawn to these types of guys.
talk show host
according to van der sloots confession, he flipped out when he caught her looking up media articles about him on his laptop. The guy's definitely a creep. For the life of me, I don't understand why people go to clubs, get drunk, and then go home or to hotels with random strangers. Moral issues aside, there are so many psychopaths out there, its incredibly dangerous behavior. On a sidenote, I am somewhat suspicious of this confession. He was so "slick" with the Holloway investigation and he's obviously somekind of sociopath. Its hard to imagine he would confess so easily in this instance. Either he suddenly developed a conscience or (more likely) techniques were used to extract the confession that would be considered illegal in most places. Not to mention that there's simply no reason to kill her for checking up on him. He wasn't facing any charges for the Holloway disappearance. He could have simply said, "GTFO of here, slut " or "Okay you know who I am. If you don't trust me you're free to go" and continued living his blessed life. There were no consequences for being found out by some random girl in Peru. I don't think he killed her for the reasons he's claiming.

I wonder if it was a Natalee snuff movie.. That might have made the Peruvian woman expendable if she saw something like that on his laptop. It certainly might make it difficult for him to assume he could just let her walk and talk.

I'm no hard drive wizard but is there a way to find things on hard drives that have been deleted? I'd expect he'd get rid of anything he had on there that she may have seen if it were more than just a Google search.

Absolutely, it's called Computer Forensics, I use to work for a firm that provided this service. It's amazing how much they can recover, the big money is this field comes from providing litigation support.

Yeah, I've watched enough episodes of 48 Hours to know that if you've had/searched for anything on your computer, they can find it. It's pretty cool! Chachie
CNN is saying now that he's has not been formally charged yet. His story could end up warranting a lesser charge of manslaughter before all is said and done. Also- In Peru, they have very lenient programs for good behavior as in 2 days off your sentence for every one day of good behavior. He could end up doing only 5-10 years in the long run. Hail_Skins
They say if he pleas down to a lessor charge he may only do 3-5 years, BTW he says he is going to tell where Natalie is now, well see, maybe then Aruba can finally convict him.
HailYeah
As someone with a 20-year old sister who lived in Peru last year, this really makes my blood boil. What damn shame that this girl had to die. This guy must be in the running for creep of the century. I'd think if they can't convict him to the max sentence, they should explore ways to get him locked up in a mental institution or something. He's obviously proven to have no regard for human life or compassion for the families that he's hurt. In fact, he's tried to extract money from them. Un. Real. He's clearly a danger to society as he has no semblance of a conscience.
Rocky21
Peruvian judge Juan Buendia has ordered van der Sloot jailed on murder and robbery charges, and described van der Sloot as having acted with "ferocity and great cruelty." Police say van der Sloot smashed in the face of Lima business student Stephany Flores, whom he met playing poker at a casino, after taking her to his hotel room on May 30. They say he then strangled her, threw her to the floor and emptied her wallet. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-20007448-504083.html
Dan T.
It is just so ****ing slimy that he contacted the family of Natalee Holloway and promised to tell them where to find her body in exchange for $250,000. Then told them a bogus location on top of it. He's already caused that family untold anguish, and he didn't give a second thought of adding to that misery for a payday. The guy is a sociopath. There is only one way to reach justice in this case, its death! He needs to die, not put in jail and eat and sleep 24 hours a day and wait for his death penalty to arrive and die some what peacefully. He needs to die like he killed those two girls, that is only fair and I hope the girls father that is connected can get a prisoner in Jail to take care of that for him. My guess is that there are several guys lining up to do the job...(or lining up to be his new "daddy".) It won't surprise me if he commits suicide. He won't ever truly come clean about Holloway's death...it's the only card he has left to play and he won't play it all the way...he'll show a glimpse of it and that's it. Because once he lays it out on the table all the way he has no more leverage.
