  1. North Korea: Students required to get Kim Jong-un haircut Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery — and in Kim Jong Un’s North Korea, that’s now an order! All North Korean men are now required to get the same haircut as their nutjob leader — shaved close on the back and sides, with longer hair on top brushed back off the forehead. The state-ordered guidelines were introduced in the capital, Pyongyang, roughly two weeks ago, according to South Korean media. http://nypost.com/2014/03/26/north-korean-men-ordered-to-get-kim-jong-uns-haircut/ Some say these reports are untrue, but anything is possible with this wing-nut.
  2. When BBC reporter Steve Rosenberg went to use the bathroom at the cross-country skiing and biathlon center for next month's Winter Olympics in Sochi, he found two toilets but only one stall. His tweeted picture instantly became a national joke. Although toilets like that are not common in Russia, social media users posted photos of other toilets side by side, including some said to be in a courthouse and a cafe. http://news.msn.com/offbeat/picture-of-twin-toilets-in-sochi-has-the-world-talking?ocid=ansnews11
  3. Dennis Rodman North Koreans Plied Him With Booze Dennis Rodman's alcohol-fueled meltdown was caused by North Korea ... so claim the people who got the former Hall of Famer into rehab. Sources connected with Rodman -- the ones who convinced him he needed to check into rehab after his controversial trip -- tell TMZ, from the minute Rodman landed in North Korea he was plied with alcohol. Rodman claims his bizarre -- arguably unpatriotic comments -- were the result of alcohol abuse and he says the pressure he felt before doing his disastrous interview is why he landed in rehab. But people close to him say ... the mucky-mucks in the North Korean government were more than happy to supply Rodman with endless amounts of alcohol ... to the point his mind was poisoned. 4. N. Korea warns South, US over 'provocative' drills "We sternly warn the U.S. and the South Korean authorities to stop the dangerous military exercises which may push the situation on the peninsula and the north-south ties to a catastrophe," the North's KCNA state news quoted a body in charge of efforts to promote Korean unification as saying. Similar bellicose rhetoric from the North set South Korea, the United States and Japan on edge a year ago. As a result, Washington flew Stealth bomber missions over South Korea and strengthened its military presence in the South, where nearly 30,000 U.S. troops are based. http://news.msn.com/world/n-korea-warns-south-us-over-provocative-drills?ocid=ansnews11
  5. North Korea threatens to strike South 'without notice,' sends warning via fax. North Korea has threatened to attack South Korea "without notice" in response to demonstrations held in the South to mark the anniversary of its former leader's death. The warning came after conservative activists and North Korean refugee groups held demonstrations in Seoul on the anniversary of Kim Jong Il's death. Some protesters reportedly burned pictures of current leader Kim Jong Un, according to The Telegraph. South Korea’s Defense Ministry said a letter from the North’s National Defense Commission was faxed early Thursday via a military communication link between the two sides, warning of a "merciless" attack on the South, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/12/20/north-korea-threatens-to-strike-south-without-notice-sends-warning-via-fax/
  6. Kim Jong-un executes uncle Jang-Song-thaek Proving that he’s in total command, North Korea’s 30-year-old Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un purged his 67-year-old uncle Jang Song-Thaek of his government No. 2 leadership position. Dragged by force from a Communist Central Party Committee meeting Dec. 9, tried and executed for treason. http://www.examiner.com/article/kim-jong-un-executes-uncle-jang-song-thaek

  10. But then, along came Kim Jong-il and one incredible day in 1994, when the Dear Leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea picked up a golf club for the very first time, and — as witnessed by 17 security guards and reported by the state news agency — shot a smooth 38-under-par round of 34, including 11 holes-in-one.
