PCS
Well here we go. It's getting close,(finally for those of us where the offseason drags on and on and on and on and.....). Almost there. Right around the corner. All kinds of other silly cliche's. This thread works just like a game day thread so let's get it going. I have just tonight to watch this whole thing. Back last year we volunteered for the kids band and choir trip to Disneyland for a competition. Of course it falls on the very same days as the draft, which the NFL decided to push back until now. I blame them. Will be just my luck if they trade out of the first round.

veteranskinsfan
Going into this 2015 draft I have more optimism than usual because I believe we finally have a GM who knows his job and will do his best to get us some quality players. In Scott we trust tonight. Compared to other previous drafts we can only get better beginning tonight as a team. Hail to the Redskins!
Morrison J
Guys I'd like to see us target: Bud Dupree - OLB - Kentucky Kevin Johnson - CB - Wake Forest Alex Carter - CB - Stanford Tyler Lockett - WR - Kansas State Jeff Heureman - TE - Ohio State Andy Gallik - C - Boston College Jake Fisher - OT - Oregon Damarious Randall - S - Arizona State James Sample - S - Louisville Neville Hewitt - ILB - Marshall Dream draft in my sig! Can't wait. Too long since we've had this luxury of a first round pick.
Rufus T Firefly
Is the draft tonight? I would have thought there would have been some talk about it if it was coming up.
Dan T.
Jesus. They don't start picking for another hour? I thought it started at 7. This is ridiculous.
Mr.Sacksn'Stuff
Jesus. They don't start picking for another hour? I thought it started at 7. This is ridiculous. Oh, they start at 7...Central Time. It's in Chicago this year.
evmiii
And with the fifth pick of the 2015 NFL Rookie Draft the Washington Redskins select Dante Fowler, Defensive End, University of Florida. The New York Jets are on the clock.
88Comrade2000
What if Philly trades with Tampa to get Mariotta. Would that impact us at all at #5? At least we have someone competent making the selections for the first time in a really long time.
tomwvr
I don't think Fowler will be there
CurseReversed
This is definitely going to be one of the most interesting drafts for me and probably for many other redskins fans. We will finally get some real insight into how Scott values players, and what his thinking is as far what we need to be successful in the future. Morrison J
I want Fowler to be there so we can trade with the Falcons and drop back to #8. Falcons are all over Fowler. I'm taking Dupree/Beasley and an extra pick over Fowler alone everyday of the week.

SkinsGuy
So, what network is everyone going to watch? ESPN or NFL Network?
Pedro
I have 3 players rated as worthy of a 5th overall (in order) Williams, Beasley, Cooper. One of them will be there and I will be very happy with any of them so I am negotiating from a position of strength re: trade down. New format sucks donkey **** though. skins2victory
Lets pick em good today skins! HTTR -My hope is that Williams will be there at 5, and that the Browns give us there 2 first's to come up and take him. Then we go best available O-line at 12, and Landon Collins at 19. DogofWar1
My excitement right now: I really want to see Chip trade the farm for Mariota. That would just make my night as much as just about anything could. Other things that would make my night: - Trading with Browns for 12 and 19, getting Shelton at 12, OL at 19 - Leonard Williams, just sorta generally Though I don't see much ruining this for me. I'll be cool with whatever we do.
Idaho fan
So, what network is everyone going to watch? ESPN or NFL Network? Was wondering the same thing... Thinking Im gonna go NFL Network. Hoping Williams slides and we take him. Will still be happy with Fowler or a decent trade back situation where we can still take one of those 10-12 difference makers Scotty M was talking about. BTBIRD 227
Iam thinking Beasley, would not mind Cooper either . But I still will stick to my guns and Skins trade out for more draft picks, we need some extra players, like lineman. This is great, a lot of intrigue in this draft! SuperBash
Non-Skins note, it would be interesting to see the Texans trade up for MM. I'd love to see that team to have a potential franchise QB with that defense.
Morrison J
Between the Bears and Eagles for a trade up for Mariota by the sounds of things. Praying it isn't the Eagles.

I'd be fine with it if Fletcher Cox and Mychal Kendricks, plus 20 and more, went to the Titans. Just strip that defense of all its talent for one college QB. Genius. I'd rather they kept that defense that DJax could already dominate.
Stadium-Armory
If we hold on to #5, the pick will be somewhat anticlimactic. We already know the handful of guys it will be. I'm more excited to see what we do further down, this is where the building blocks are acquired.
