You act as if this fanbase exists solely on this message board.  Skip ahead to page 50 or so.  There was so much more than "he's better than Scott Turner'" lmao.

I am not about to go digging for EB compliments right after he got hired.  It would be weird if there weren’t nice things being said and high hopes.  We could do this exercise with just about every new coach, coordinator or big time free agent for any team since the beginning of time.

The fact remains that the logical and rational fans on this forum didn’t think EB was a plug and play championship OC who doesn’t need talent to succeed.  Thus your ‘gotcha’ comment earlier wasn’t only premature, but not really valid to any of the discussion taking place over the last several months.

One other note is that that nasty out-of-bounds hit on Howell seemed to knock both him and the entire offense off their stride for most of the first half. Everything got wobbly for a while. Hopefully, there are no lasting repercussions.

There should be lasting repercussions for Kazir White.

As soon as the game started, they went into cover three and just sat guys in coverage, so we couldn't make any plays down field.

They basically played our game, but with a LBer that you can just unleash to go get ball.

We should have started to pound the rock in the 1rst to draw that coverage in, kill some clock and establish a rhythm.

I agree the short quick passes could have worked, but we needed to pull their coverage and set up the PAP and we didn't.

It felt like the game plan was to blow them out and fore our game on them and it didn't work almost immediately.

Hopefully EB takes a long hard look at his GP and calms the heck down.

They did play a ton of C3. But deep third defenders were driving hard on intermediate routes. It was crying out for some deep crossing routes with intermediate routes underneath that to high/low those deep third defenders.

Pull out your C3 beaters.

I don’t think Terry was close to 100% though and we couldn’t hold up on pass pro long enough for deep crosses to develop …

I'm not going to lie. It wouldn't surprise me if its something like the RG3 thing where he had an actual concussion and it was hidden.

He was checked out in the medical tent.  Brissett was on the field ready to play.  Why would they do the whole dog and pony show to hide his concussion?

I don't really have too much of an issue with the playcalling except I'd have liked to see more screens. The one screen we ran to Gibson on 3rd and 11 nearly netted us a first. I'd have also liked to see more RPO and utilization of Howell's legs as a weapon, but I can understand not wanting him to risk injury.

People keep screaming we should have ran the ball more but its not like we had some dominant run game. We were averaging less than 4 YPC. The strength of this offense is the 3 WRs. Gotta try to get them the ball.

I don't think anyone on the Commanders' staff would have hidden a concussion (even assuming they could under the current protocols). However, I do worry that it might have been a low-grade concussion that didn't register when he was checked out. He's a gamer and isn't going to go off the field willingly. He sure looked out of sorts when they showed the close-up of him right after that play. I mean, it was helmet-to-helmet. I'm just hoping that it won't affect either his health or his mentality.

The Cards are terrible but I felt like Gannon really had them playing hard. They don't have a QB that should be in the NFL. Kinda sad that our team was struggling with them. I assumed we would beat them easily. Just goes to shows that we really aren't that good either.

The offense struggled. The defense dominated and the special teams were quite good.

At the game in section 453, so opposite sideline on the other 30.  EVERYONE could see that it was ejection-worthy. Not even as homers, that was un-****ing-believable that he was allowed to still be in the game.

My son asked why the bad guy was allowed to stay in. I didn't have an answer for him. That sucked.

Hey us 453s need to stick together - what row were you? I was 453 row 17 Seat 10 - my boy only saw the brawl afterwards - not the hit.  I know you heard the F Dan Snyder chants that couldn't make it out of the top of our section.

One thing I think we can all agree on is Sam can’t take the number of hits he had yesterday and make it through 17 games.

Just like the 5 other starters the years before Howell, time to blame the QB's again and not the OL and Coaches and player evaluations. Same for the TE's, anybody think we would have been better in this game if we did not draft 2 DB's first? Or sign 2 more castoffs from teams that did not want them any longer?

The team does have talent everywhere except the o-line.  The QB is a big question mark, but trending upward.  This team had talent last year too.  People were saying that if we had Jacoby Brissett last year, they would've made the playoffs.

Crazy because I feel like Sweat and Payne had more impactful games. Just goes to show how consistently great Allen is.

DB was a big need for our first 2 picks right? Makes team better right?

In fairness to Forbes, you really didn't hear his name much which means he did his job. He did give up a big 3rd down completion to Hollywood Brown but other then that I think he stuck to his man like white on rice.

When we play other teams with more legitimate offenses, we'll need him. You need three starting caliber CBs at least in today's NFL.

What is baffling to me is how the coaching staff is so stubborn about trotting out the same OL and somehow thinking it's going to work. Charles was getting his ass handed to him repeatedly and Wylie looked as if he was moving in slow motion compared to his counterparts.

How long can they expect Howell to survive back there with those two constantly being polite and escorting the defense back to him is beyond me. I'd look at some different combinations and hope to find the best serviceable line I could (and I'm not a coach).

Like some other posters suggested, Wylie at LG makes sense as he wouldn't be in space and put Lucas at RT. That would at least shore things up somewhat better than what they're sending out there now.

HTTR!

But Charles had his best camp!

Why in the hell did Cole Turner only get in on 14% of snaps??

Cole Turner is what he is, TE3 in this league and overrated here. Fragile and cannot not be trusted to hold on to the ball would be my answer.  A.Rogers going down early is what hurt the group the most.

He's much more athletic than Thomas who can barely move anymore and if Thomas is gonna be dropping balls and continuing to suck as a blocker then what's the upside?

Dude is 23. Nobody should be staying he is what he is. Many TEs take a while to develop.

if he can snag passes like he did yesterday then he should be in. I think Thomas let through a pass rusher for a sack or loss, I forget which one. I can see Turner being comparable right now and he has more of a a future
