Rachel Maddow in a suit, but he's wrong.  The extremists won't get emboldened.  You voted for the extremists whether you wanted a moderate GOPer or something else.  Just don't vote for the GOP because they let the extremists run things.

Huh? What are you commenting on?

If you were commenting on Cohen's video, he basically said the same thing you did lol...

You: "You voted for the extremists whether you wanted a moderate GOPer or something else.  Just don't vote for the GOP because they let the extremists run things."

Cohen: "When you cast your ballots in November, remember there's the Democrats, and then there's Marjorie Taylor Greene...and there's nothing in between."

I want no mercy once Dems have the votes and majority from all these resignations to make Jefferies the Speaker of the House.

Don't hit me with that "will of the people via the election" BS...the people have spoken already, enough is enough.

If another one resigns they should use the rules to recall speaker. Maybe they need another 2? Idk anymore

Senator Ted Cruz Forces Amendment Into FAA Bill To Give Lawmakers Police Escorts Through Airports

Congress desperately needs to pass a bill to fund the Federal Aviation Administration for the next four years before a short-term funding extension runs out in May. It’s a big enough deal that even Republicans aren’t willing to roll the dice on whether or not air travel can safely continue without reauthorizing the FAA. That doesn’t mean, however, that they aren’t going to try to sneak their pet projects into the reauthorization bill. Senator Ted Cruz, for example, wants lawmakers to be guaranteed a police escort through the airport when they travel.

The Dallas Morning News reports that Cruz’s amendment would guarantee a police escort through the airport for the president’s cabinet, federal judges and members of Congress if they face a security threat.

Nancy Mace spars with X community notes over voting record: ‘Y’all are so dumb’

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) took issue Wednesday with some of the community notes on the social media platform X over her voting record.

“The @CommunityNote — y’all are so dumb. Go look up the NDAA, WRDA and PACT Act, all of which I voted for. I delivered for the lowcountry and will always continue to do so. Oh and do better.  #LowcountryFirst,” she wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Mace was responding to the community notes left on an earlier post on X that included a graphic with the caption: “$517,618,000 authorized or appropriated for SC-01.” The community notes — which allow selected users to add context to a post — highlighted that Mace voted against appropriations bills that “she is seeking credit for.”

The community note linked to the House clerk’s website, which showed Mace voting against the $1.2 trillion funding package that includes funding for Homeland Security, Defense and election security measures, among others.

“This 1,012-page bill is a slap in the face to hardworking taxpayers in the Lowcountry and across the nation. It is a byproduct of former failed leadership within the House, which shamefully rubber-stamped the Biden Administration’s agenda,” Mace said in a statement about her vote.

Half of senior staffers in Congress are so fed up that they may quit

When it comes to job satisfaction, members of Congress aren’t the only ones considering calling it quits.

Only about one in five senior aides on Capitol Hill believe that Congress is “functioning as a democratic legislature should,” and about the same margin believe that it is “an effective forum for debate” on key issues.

Given those assessments by the people who live and breathe these issues, this particularly glum finding should not come as a surprise: Almost half of senior congressional aides are considering leaving the Hill because of “heated rhetoric from the other party.”

Johnson's job might be on the line, he'd be wise not to push any bull**** impeachments seeing as how he might need the Dem's help to stay speaker in the very near future.
