Wow.  Watch this in slo-mo.  Bates is tight at the bottom of the screen, opposite ATL's #92.  Instead of blocking 92, Bates just takes off downfield, completely uncovered.  Everyone on ATL thought Bates would block 92, including 92 who does a stutter-step at the LOS while Bates is just busting a nut to get downfield.  92 recovers, but by then the C has pulled right and gets on him, giving Heini time to release the ball perfectly to Bates who was pretty open in the end zone.

Over 7 yards a carry...yeah, I would say they are.  They shore that up and Atlanta has nothing.  The constant grind is all they have.
