It would be cruel irony for me.  But no way it happens, LFC fans are ten times more intense than Commander fans, the revolt would start as soon as his name was leaked.

Imagine being so toxic that you could have billions of dollars and still not be able to buy something.  Not because you don’t have the money to do so, but because you’re so toxic the people won’t stand for it.

Helmets gotta stay the same. Really nailed it there even though the name and everything else is hit or miss.

Man, I disagree on that one.  I think the helmets are horrid.  Boring as boring gets, unimaginative and look cheap, cheap, cheap.  Yellow-orange electrical tape-looking monstrosities.  I hate everything about their uniforms.

Everyone has their own opinion, so I totally respect yours.  Just a little rant of mine when it comes to the unis.  Lol.

I'm a sucker for the matte-style helmet.

That’s a shame. The guy is a Tom Izzo disciple and has taken Izzo’s leadership principles and applied them to the business world. He was my #2 after Bezos

This could add a little credibility to the theory that Bezos is a done deal...so he moves on to the Suns.

This is a straight out Rumor so take it FWIW, they were talking on The Junkies this morning and EB explained he overheard that Snyder is packing it up, moving to London, the deal with Bezo is done and DC is even giving permission to use the old RFK site.  Again, its only a RUMOR!  They then went on to discuss why we aren't hearing a lot about other potential buyers leaked.  Who knows....

Missed that. I'll definitely check out the itunes podcast.

I get the junkies mixed up.

Is EB the same guy that said the  original investigation report on Snyder was going to recommend his removal as owner?

If so, I think this is great news. Whoever his source is he came up with what later turned out to be factual information even though the league initially denied it.

Yep, EB is the one. I figured someone in Wilkinson's camp leaked that information because they were angry at Goodell for not wanting a written report...they knew it would be buried like Deflategate and Ray Rice Gate (before the video leaked...)

Yeah, that just sounds like BS. I suppose it's possible that Bezos and Dan have already agreed on a deal, though it seems unlikely that it hasn't leaked at all, except to be "overheard." But the notion that he is then able to get permission from the District on where to build a stadium before the deal is even announced, again without a leak anywhere just sounds like nonsense.

Not attacking you, and I know its a "rumor" but sounds like pure malarkey.

EB doesn't play the rumorville game much.  From what I recall he nailed one, and was off on one.

A.  Nailed the Alex Smith injury is serious.  The Junkies broke that story before anyone else did.

B.  Wrong about the lawyer heading the NFL investigation recommended to Goodell that Dan be removed -- which may be true or may not be true, the evidence was never borne out

Not being a local I wouldn't know but am curious, is Rfk the best location or are there sites that would be even better but are probably unattainable?

Personally I think its more nostalgia than a good spot. I think the national harbor blows it away.

Theres another spot that the city has been getting ready. I have a friend who works in urban development in the city. The city has been working on significant power grid upgrades along Poplar Point over the Anacostia into SE right along 295. Theres already 35 acres there ready for building. Remove the Park Police station there to some where else since it would no longer be needed and you have 62 acres. Right on the water. A ton of development could be right there. Could build a harbor for boat access. So much more.

Forgot this elaboration. They are building a new hospital over there so a grid upgrade is needed but was told its far more than what a hospital alone would ever come close to needed.

Funny enough this friend has another friend that worked as a Scout for the team. He told me about the Kirk and cheerleader outfit story years before it came out lol

Love the National Harbor area.   It's where I stay when I go to a game.  Only issue is obviously no metro.

But it reminds me some of the Arizona Cardinals location in a sense because you got hotels right on top of the stadium and a whole outdoor food mall, movie theater, a ton of restaurants a stones throw away from the stadium so you can make a day of it.

Been to RFK eons ago, cool to get there via the metro.  SE back when I lived in DC wasn't the best area but I've heard its improved in recent years.

I think either location is a homerun.  I hate the idea of Loudon County which Dan seemed obsessed with.

Unfortunately within the harbor area itself theres really not a great spot to put it.

This and this

The RFK site has better uses than a stadium.

A stadium in the Anacostia area kick starts/speeds up revitalization in that area a la the Nats Park and that area.

If I recall correctly, same Feds issues (relatively of course) as the RFK site but nothing money can’t solve

I've just stuck to the commercial part of the Harbor so don't know the area beyond it.  But if I recall they said there was potentially a tract of land a little past the Casino but the land needed work -- some geographic hurdles, forgetting what but I recall reading that at the time it seemed like a possibility.

The wild thing is digesting these stories, Dan had a window years ago to chase that area but Maryland felt he wasn't serious and he was just using them for leverage and after that years later when Dan got desperate that tract of land was taken off the table and was told Landover or bust.   And i believe they need a federal waiver just like in DC.

From what I had heard it was a "done deal" down there in like 2018.

That was the "we are close" year if I recall or maybe that was 2019.  Bruce and Dan's arrogance and incompetence used to bother me to no end -- but now in retrospect all of their misplays have led to their demise (or so I hope) so I celebrate their mishaps which used to bother me.

Dan thought he can play Maryland, the District, and Virginia against each other and slow played it to get whatever he thought was ideal.  But him slow playing it instead allowed for his reputation to implode with all three parities and in turn now no one wants to help him.
