Tucker Scoffs at D.C. Cop Scarred by Capitol Riot From Safety of His Studio

Fox News host Tucker Carlson took his overt downplaying of the Capitol insurrection to a new low on Tuesday night, literally laughing at an officer who had described the vicious beating he suffered that day and the psychological trauma that followed in congressional testimony.

Carlson, who has routinely dismissed the violence that occurred during the deadly riot as nothing more than a “political protest that got out of hand,” took aim at the Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone and the three Capitol police officers who emotionally testified about the brutality they witnessed at Tuesday’s hearing before the Jan. 6 House Select Committee.

After accusing Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn—whom Carlson has viciously attacked in the past—of lying when claiming that officer Brian Sicknick died from injuries sustained at the insurrection, Carlson also blasted Sgt. Aquilino Gonell—an Iraq War veteran—for saying he “was more afraid” during the riots than his entire Iraq deployment.

“When they lie and they don’t stop lying, when they compare it to the Civil War or 9/11, they make us all very cynical and make us suspect that they are lying all the time,” he sneered. “Because actually what happened on January 6, according to video, did not look a lot like Iraq. It’s not Fallujah.”

Carlson went on to insist that the mob trying to prevent President Joe Biden’s election from being certified was nothing more than protesters having “casual conversations” in the Capitol, mockingly adding for the Capitol police “this was very much like 9/11.”

Their viewership is a bunch of pathetic snowflakes unwilling to hear anything that challenges their hate.

I think that is unfair.  News time that doesn’t talk Mr. Potato Head, caravans, or CRT is the perfect time to hit the YouTube machine to do research.

House Passes Emergency Security Supplemental to Respond to January 6th

The House today passed H.R. 3237, the Emergency Security Supplemental to Respond to January 6th Appropriations Act on a bipartisan 416 to 11 vote.

“On January 6, the Capitol was brutally attacked. A mob of violent insurrectionists invaded our Capitol, hellbent on stopping the peaceful transfer of power. The brave men and women of our Capitol Police protected us. And since that fateful day, they have continued to work day in and day out, with only the barest minimum of support,” Appropriations Committee Chair Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03) said. “The legislation the House two months ago passed was a very strong bill that met the needs of the Capitol Police who were so brutally attacked and the National Guard who bravely responded. The Senate amendment largely reflects those provisions. By passing this bill, we have honored the service of the Capitol Police and the National Guard with the funding they need. And we have sent a clear message that we respect the hard work they do.”

“However, the Senate amendment falls short in key areas. It does not include resources to prosecute the terrorists who attacked our government and it does not have enough funding to secure the Capitol for the long term,” DeLauro continued. “These needs will not disappear. As we pass this bill today, we know that we are not finished – and we are committed to filling in the gaps the Senate amendment has left.”

Pro-Trump Californian Charged for Storming the Capitol After Member of His ‘Church Prayer Text Group’ Alerted the FBI to a Selfie

A pro-Trump home remodeling contractor from Huntington Beach, California was busted by a fellow member of his “church prayer text group” after boasting about participating in the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol, the FBI alleged in a criminal complaint. Glenn Allen Brooks was arrested on Thursday in California, the DOJ said.

The complaint said that Brooks placed himself inside the Capitol on Jan. 6 when he texted an incriminating selfie to his church prayer group.

“Following the events at the U.S. Capitol, the FBI received an electronic tip concerning Glenn Brooks’s (‘BROOKS’) potential involvement in breaching the Capitol,” documents said. “On or about January 30, 2021, the FBI received an electronic tip from Witness #1, who stated that a member of his/her church prayer text group, Glenn BROOKS, boasted of his active participation in the January 6, 2021, events at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Witness #1 also stated that BROOKS sent photos of his attendance at the Capitol to the church text group that included other people at the riots/protest and a selfie photo of himself inside the Capitol.”

The feds said that the witness agreed to a follow-up interview in February and gave authorities the suspect’s address, phone number, and email address.
