The infrastructure bill has already been passed and signed by the president

This was originally one idea, split into two, that the progressives ****ed up by letting only one go through on its own.

People baulked at the idea of “soft infrastructure”. But they’re wrong. And it is falling apart/behind.

and the socialists you blame for writing it, didn’t write it, they wanted *significantly* more spending for more things. This is just what they agreed on for the sake of passing something to help address these things

whats always great about people like you is you never offer an alternative. You basically pretend these problems don’t exist, then blame anyone who puts for an idea to deal with it as someone trying to destroy our country.

i, personally, would love for the gop to put for an alternative. I’m not a fan of the progressives/liberals. But the conservatives are petulant children; science/math/economics deniers; anti-vaccine; anti-mask; etc.

they’re dumb people who get away with it because there’s enough of them they can get away with it.

It's kind of humorous that you insult me just because you don't agree with me and think I don't know what I'm talking about because I didn't write a formal essay. Maybe I will find time tonight

We both know you won’t write a damn thing that takes any kind of due diligence.

I sincerely hope you do some research, triangulate sources, and come back with specific details. But, if you had the fortitude to do that you wouldn’t be vomiting buzzwords and representing team traitor of the hand maiden idiocracy squad.

This is kind of fun I'm being attacked from all angles. What's even better is I don't really like politicians in general, I didn't make a provocative statement and you guys are in love with me. All you had to say was, "Wow you know what there is some stupid socialist spending attached to that bill, but I think the overall bill has potential."

I don't have to be a fly on the wall of the White House to not notice that Biden made a big mistake by allowing the progressives to dictate to him instead of staying true to his moderate core. I think it's fair to say at this point that he has some major problems with being a pushover. That's on him and his staff.

What's ironic is that Manchin most likely saved his presidency.

And yes I do believe that even though the BBB bill is championed as good for Americans, I don't think it's good for America. I know you guys can't wait for my bullet point essay

You can reframe and bypass what is going on in this thread all you want, but it’s just more nonsensical ego protection that derails actual fact based discussion.

It’s ridiculous. This is a policy discussion thread not a vomit what you think, feel, and believe with no substance thread.

We’re not going to bend over backwards to validate the fantasies in your head.

Please read something with intellectual integrity and come back with a specific detail of BBB that you find to be stupid or socialist.

And also answer my previous question to you asking which of Trump’s policies was worth us losing our record of democratic peaceful transfers of power. Please explain to me how people who still support Trump are not traitors or ignorant marks.

It's so funny that you criticize me and then you do the exact same thing with your intellectual vomit.

Interesting that you take my previous post that you referenced not only out of context but it's not even what I said or the question you asked me. All I simply stated was that I wasn't a trump supporter and even though I thought he was an a hole my personal wealth liked his policy. To answer your question here I would say that's a red flag for anyone that still supports Trump running for presidency again but what happened at the Capitol had nothing to do with my wallet liking him or not

I'll make this easy.

Out of what is in the BBB, what specifically is bad for Americans?

Thanks for asking again. My apologies for not responding sooner. I'm driving and trying to keep up with all this and when I get home I got to help with sick kids but I will post what I legitimately disagree with as an American

Just a reminder as we explore the bottomless depths of inane socialism boogeyman/free stuff sloganeering…Deep Maga Mississippi receives roughly 2.25x more federal funding than it pays to the Federal government in tax revenue, roughly 44% of their yearly state budget

And these figures are similar across nearly all red states.

attn...not a big deal but the dude is gone...there was more than one matter involved, no need to waste any typing

and no need to make comments about him after reading this btw

also, a heads-up not to push rule 5 boundaries too far if someone new just has views many of you don't like and starts posting here

particularly if they aren't violating rules, or acting like they're used to the usual shallow jingoistic facebook/reddit action, or don't come off as playing any of those familiar soft-trolling shticks :)

If you’re driving, you shouldn’t be interacting on here at all.  But if you have the ability to post a couple sentences, then you can post a quick bit about your issues with BBB.

As one of the most conservative regular posters here (am I the most now that Zoony and TWA are gone?), I can do it in a heartbeat with a shorter clip than some of your recent posts.  Watch:

Extending the child tax credit is crap.  Either give free money to everyone or at least make it income-level dependent.  I shouldn’t have to subsidize someone else’s demon spawn.

See?

Edit:  Well I guess I was late to the party.  @Jumboruined all the fun.

I hugely doubt Manchin ****ting on Biden’s economic policy bill will save Biden’s presidency, that’s just me.

“human infrastructure” sure does sound like fluff, but why shouldn’t we have paid child care, student loan forgiveness, paid family leave, ect? Ever other western civilization has some sort of human infrastructure and it was a huge part of the New deal which set America on a path to become an economic powerhouse. I don’t know exactly what was in the bill, but from what I’ve seen it seems worth trying.

As far as the deficit goes, that ship has sailed.

Considering that the US spends on defense more per year than the combined next 11 highest defense spending countries and that roughly 75% of the almost trillion dollar a year defense budget goes to non-personnel costs.. no one in either party really cares about deficits.

i trust you all won't mind me taking a 'moment of privilege' to post off topic on an update re: 'DEA...skins' :)

this a.m. i saw tk had added a warning to the guys notes after the ban, which is unusual unless tk receives some colorful msg from the banned member, which was the case here (shocker to me and tk ;))

i do this at times for the same reason--to show what goes on here 'behind the scenes' forum-management-wise, in order to have this community be as informed as possible on this stuff when it seems useful and pertinent (and people can opine on board management in the feedback forum, but not in this forum's topic threads, or on any fitting matter anytime, of course)

without going into stuff that had the guy on a bubble from the get-go, the 'i mean no trouble, just my views' veneer of his shtick/agenda aside, i wanted ya to know that like his posting in threads, in his reply to the ban he presented himself as a victim of unfair rebukes and oppression, all done with decent grammar :), right up until he shows his real colors and genuine baseline attitudes at the end (excerpt below)

I'd be happy to play the role of knuckle dragger and end your suffering, unless my adolescent girls tootsie roll your egghead ass first. Deuces!! Don't contact me ever again and please upgrade your security

i want 'more views and new voices' in here too--- i.e. especially non-left, non-male, non-partisan etc---but have zero use for those who are basically gratuitous flamethrowers, or trolls of any 'level' or 'type', bubbly-brain-chemistry game-players etc

this is not some reddit/facebook/whatever venue and as long as i'm here and tk is admin this will be the way
