I think both groups are wrong.  I think the Giants talent wise are pretty close to us, with us having a slight edge.  Here's the Giants reporter predicting a 3-0 start, including by saying the Giants have the WFT's number.

NYG's kind of do have our number under RR and until we beat them, won't change.

Good discussion on Get Up about load management going in to the last few games.  Greeny has become a WFT fan but the comments were made about how division games really count 1.5X the normal non division.  I can't imagine resting players for that end of year division run but still interesting.

Agree though NYG have our number way beyond Ron.  We've lost 5 in a row.   6 out of the last 7.  12 out of the last 16.    its beyond strange.  And unlike some on the board I can't goof on that team until their dominance stops over us.  At least last season the games where close.  But in the mix of that losing streak we got some big time spankings in the mix.

As for Greeny, he is a big Fitzpatrick guy and he thinks WFT secured the division by signing him.  He gets attacked for his opinion by some like Ryan Clark who isn't a Fitz guy and says the division is Dallas' to lose.  But he's sticking with the WFT.

Ryan comes off as so jaded by the past trauma with Washington.  We all agree, Ryan, it was a tragic mistake to sign Archuleta & let you walk, but let it go man.  Ryan open admits that is what fueled his career.  Good grief we've had so many **** ups when Snyder was running (ruining?) the team.  I don't like to think about that and glad we have been scared straight, so to speak.

I took my son all the way to NY for the first of their two games - season before last.  What a total cluster that game was... First game that Haskins saw the field and threw several picks.  I coughed up the money to sit in the 2nd row for that game.  Surrounded by Giants fans who thought they were on their way to the SB with Danny Jones.  Not an enjoyable experience.  Sure would like to see the Skins sweep them this year.

Yeah every now and then a story filters over time about Dan's involvement. One popped up in a podcast about him wanting Archuleta.  Couldn't tell if that was speculation or they heard that to be the case.

But wow our owner has the reverse Midas touch whenever he decides to dabble in personnel.

Antonio Pierce also never seemed to let it go.  I recall his story is he even told the team the Giants have a contract offer and gave them a shot to match and he was incredulous they let him go to a division rival.  I recall their big stop early that season when the WFT was on the goal line and Pierce who knew the WFT playbook like the back of his hand shifted the Giants defense to their left because he knew that's where Portis was coming at them -- and they stopped them on the goal line and later on the Giants said that game game was key to fuel their SB run.

What hotel are we taking over in Vegas?

I personally have a soft spot for the Palms.  I spent the latter part of my 20's playing there 8-10 times a year.

I'm not sure if it's the same as it was 20 years ago, but back then, the scenery was absolutely lovely.

Yeah, Antonio REALLY held on to it.  I don't blame him.  We the fans have been just as jaded & angered as Antonio and Ryan as well.  Snyder has been so truly awful as an owner.  He needs to STAY away from any football decision making with the braintrust we have now.  Dan has made it hard to be a Skins/WFT fan.  We are just now, perhaps, beginning to heal.  We will see.

It’s completely changed. Was actually pretty horrible last few years then it was resold again and they made some improvements but the crowd is absolutely not the same as when you remember it.  The days with Rain, Ghostbar and the Playboy club were awesome.

The hottest place right now will be Circa downtown. They have an insane pool with massive screens for watching the games. They also have the biggest sportsbook in the world. I attached a pic.

I booked Treasure Island because of location and it was relatively cheap. Even that one one went up 30% since yesterday. Everyone is booking up the rooms because you can cancel.

Yeah, a lot has changed over the years. I stopped going regularly in 2009, the same year I met my wife.  (Though I kicked the gambling addiction BEFORE meeting my wife, I do think the two events are related.) They were still building City Center and the new casinos in the middle of the strip.

When I started playing in 1999, I started at the Luxor, which was pretty new and was really "accessible" for a new gambler.  It started to show it's age and get a little run down, so I hopped around a bit, before settling on the Palms for about 4 years.  Small casino, but I really loved it.  And the pool, bars, restaurants and everything was absolutely great.

I had an entirely separate life in Vegas.  Separate bank account, since they knew I was coming back, I actually had clothes that just stayed at the hotel (which they actually bought for me and then had cleaned), and I played high enough minimums that everything was comped from the time I landed to the time I departed.  It was pretty wild. I would call them at 11:00am on a Friday, say that I was taking the 4:00 flight from Dulles that day, fly down, get picked up, and play for ~40 hours, then fly back.  I knew it was time to quit when I had a really good haul (enough to buy a really nice car), and the dealer said I could go over to the roulette table and double my money, and that sounded like a brilliant idea.  I swore when that stupid ball was going around that I was done playing, because it was NOT a good idea at all.

Oh goodness, perhaps you haven't heard, they have Danny Dimes

https://fansided.com/2020/10/23/giants-daniel-jones-only-good-against-washington/

Daniel Jones is only good when he’s playing Washington

Daniel Jones continued his struggles against non-Washington teams last night.

The New York Giants were so close to pulling out their second win of the season, but Daniel Jones and company melted down once again, meaning that the Giants’ streak of futility at Lincoln Financial Field that extends back to the Michael Vick days in 2013 remains intact. While the defense and tight end Evan Engram are getting barbecued this morning, this loss stands as another poor performance within the division by New York’s supposed QB1.

After winning his first start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jones has gone 3-0 in starts against Washington under both their offensive and non-offensive monikers. Against every other team in the league, however, Jones has yet to win a start in 15 tries. While he has seven touchdowns and three picks against Washington, his 22 TD/16 INT ratio against everyone else is disheartening.

You are kinda being a Debbie downer SIP.  Luckily the times, the are a changing!!!

Not trying to being a Debbie downer but trying to fuel some NY Giant hate.  :ols:  I've been at it for years.   That team and the media that covers them has been the most condescending NFC East team towards the WFT for a long time.  Yet I notice once the season starts to some the Giants are either the "nicest" NFC East team who don't deserve the scorn directed towards the Eagles or Cowboys or they are just some pathetic team that don't deserve to be taken seriously.  Both sentiments drive me a bit crazy :ols:.  I've talked about this plenty in the weekly game threads when we play the Giants but there is a long history of the NY media and the Giant players looking down on this team.

I plan on going to the game. I live in socal. Tickets are obscene right now though. I'm hoping they'll drop as the Raiders inevitably rack up losses.
