He’s never said he’d be willing to play for the vet min... there is a reason why he isn’t even a back up on any team and that reason is not politics. The only way to find out what he's got is to give him the same tryouts that they give any other ball player. You don't know what a player can do until you give him a shot. Instead, we go get trash ass Mark Sanchez??? This league loves employing useless retreads, but a QB that led a team to the SB sits without a call or an invite. This is too funny. This organization isn't serious about winning. It shows on the field every week. To answer your question, I would rather have Kaep if he was in good conditioning. Well Smith is making 71 million guaranteed while he is injured. He doesn't deserve that type of money healthy!!! We wouldn't have had to pay Kaep that much I believe. They didn't make Smith play for the vet minimum so they damn sure should have offered that contract to Kaep instead of Smith from the start. But that's hindsight now. No, because all 31 teams aren't borderline average at the QB spot as we are. Now the teams who have qbs that Kaep can clearly outplay.... Yes I would say they are not serious about winning either. Kap was a bum the last season he saw the field. Not sure what makes people think he would have improved in his over two years out of football. The league has changed and his playing style isn’t as much of a threat as it use to be. He’s also injury prone. Didn’t Elway try to bring him in and he didn’t want to play? Random thought.... imagine if this time last year if you had told the fanbase we would be going into a Thanksgiving Day game against Dallas with the division on the line, and our QBs would be Colt McCoy and Mark Sanchez.
