No Excuses
Congrats to Cynthia Nixon on reminding Cuomo that he’s a Democrat who should be removing ridiculous voter disenfranchisement rules. Bonus points for exposing conservatives for the anti-democracy hacks that they are.

Just pointing out that this is a step further than even most progressives have proposed (most say once the sentence is complete convicts should get their voting rights returned - however their are some who are even more extreme and want imprisoned convicts to have the right to vote). You do know that historically crimes that were previously misdemeanors were studied, and those found to be committed by blacks were upgraded to felonies specifically to disenfranchise their voting rights? The winds are against the GOP. This suggests Dems won't have too tough of a time holding seats. Meanwhile, GOPers who have to try and hold their seats can't campaign either (and challenger Dems can go around as much as they want). Though on the other hand with all the GOP retirements it's possible that there aren't too many GOPers defending left. Maybe McConnell is banking on that and hoping that maybe, since their team is going to have so many new faces anyway, they can snipe a seat from the Dems by keeping them away. After all, if you have no one defending in a dangerous seat, then you're playing with house money, more or less.
