It was just a proposal, I was not suggesting that it has any chance of happening.

It makes you wonder what exactly would have to happen for any meaningful change to  be really considered let alone enacted.

That guy will be **** out of luck .... meaning he'll only be able to use handguns or slower-action rifles/shotguns, which will at least give potential victims a chance, which, it's ****ing sad to say, would be significant progress.

if you have money a ban will not prevent acquiring them.

If you have the desire to mass murder you can in many ways...unless you are ignorant.

The NRA should be forced to pay the health care and funeral costs of the victims of mass shootings.

that would be unconstitutional :)

That ship sailed when the NRA decided a bunch of dead kindergarteners was the cost of doing business. There is no threshold body count.

Photos of the crime scene have leaked.  If you look them up, be prepared to see the shooter laying dead after eating a bullet.  Not sure if they're real but the sheriff is on tv right now complaining that photos were leaked.

Edited to clarify the crime scene photos of of the hotel room, not the concert grounds.

Turns out your typical mass shooter is white male and upper middle class.

I may be a risk ...

That focuses almost entirely on school shooters, is very light on statistics/facts, and has a pretty thick agenda (the problem is white privilege).

Bump stocks. ****ing knew it. Those things should have been legislated against a long ass time ago. They've always made me incredibly nervous and I've felt since I first saw one used that they shouldn't be allowed. $200 lets any yokel who can afford an AR or AK essentially own a machine gun.

Not automatic weapons

Where's all the "those were definitely automatic weapons" people?

One of you said you wouldn't post for a week ;)

Cowards.

So your gut reaction is they took it down?

As opposed to a basic server being overloaded by requests? Maybe even being ddos'd?

Cause that's what you see when a web server goes down from too many requests. Legitimate or ddos'd.

Las Vegas Gunman Meticulously Planned Shooting, Sheriff Says

Sunday night's shooting spree in Las Vegas was meticulously planned for some time, the Clark County sheriff said Tuesday, expressing frustration that no one appeared to have noticed the gunman's unusual actions and alerted authorities.

Sheriff Joe Lombardo also slammed a German newspaper for publishing photos from the gunman's hotel, saying the site was an active crime scene.

The carnage inflicted by the gunman, whom authorities have identified as Stephen Paddock, was "obviously premeditated," Lombardo said at news conference Tuesday afternoon.

"The fact that he had the type of weaponry and the amount of weaponry in that [hotel] room — it was pre-planned extensively," Lombardo said. "I'm pretty sure he evaluated everything that he did in his actions."

Las Vegas shooting: Bodycam footage shows first response

Authorities on Tuesday released the first body camera footage of police responding to the Sunday's mass shooting in Las Vegas. Officers were seen hunkering down behind a wall facing Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino after an initial volley of shots fired by the gunman later identified as Stephen Paddock. The footage shows officers telling people to get down as police try to figure out where the rounds are coming from, said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Undersheriff Kevin McMahill. "Go that way, get out of here! There's gunshots coming from over there," one officer is heard yelling. At one point, officers hunkered down next to a patrol vehicle on Las Vegas Boulevard, where one officer was shot, McMahill said.
