i work 2 blocks from Lafayette Park, and generally ride (bicycle) home on Penn Ave (between the park and the White House)   ......   does any one know the schedule of these events ?

The schedules i see listed are all on sites like StormFront, and LeagueoftheSouth .... i don;t feel like opening any of those sites at work

The current plan is to travel on the Metro from Vienna, Virginia, to the Foggy Bottom station (near George Washington University) in DC, then to march to Lafayette Square for a two-hour rally with speeches from figures like alt-right Wisconsin candidate Paul Nehlen, who may attend. American flags and Confederate flags are permitted, but Nazi flags, unlike last year, are not.

I'll note that Vienna and Foggy Bottom are on the Orange Line.

I would suggest you look it up man so you can avoid it. People are going to be out there looking for a fight and you dont want to get caught up in that mess.

But then I guess it could come and go with no issues. But i doubt it.

Note to participants:  Nazis are welcome, but please don't advertise it quite so much, this time.

Honestly I hope Metro simply breaks down and strands them in a 100 degree car for 3 hours. It’s not like that would even be that big of a coincidence. :806:

Got this from an email our security group sent us about this weekend. Scrubbed for company private info and what not.

Unite the Right 2 Protest

Sunday’s rally will mark the first anniversary of the violent gathering in Charlottesville, Virginia, where self-identified white supremacists battled leftist counter-protesters, one of whom died when a man drove a car into their group. Jason Kessler and other organizers for the protest have filed for a permit to protest and listed the attendance for 400 people in their application.

Local and federal law enforcement are planning on a larger turnout for the event due to counter-protests. Twenty-two organizers from groups including Black Lives Matter, Maryland Antifa, the D.C. Antifascist Collective, and Frederick Socialists have also filed applications for a mass counter protest. National Park Service expect there to be approximately 2,600 people in attendance for the counter protests. D.C. police said Monday that they will keep the two groups apart, without providing any specifics. Groups are expensed to be gathered in Lafayette Park, Freedom Plaza, and McPherson Square.

In preparations for this weekend’s rally, D.C. police announced the fooling street closures from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday:

·        15th Street, NW from Constitution Avenue to K Street, NW

·        17th Street, NW from Constitution Avenue to K Street, NW

·        18th Street, NW from E Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW

·        19th Street, NW from E Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW

·        20th Street, NW from E Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW

·        21st Street, NW from E Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW

·        22nd Street, NW from E Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW

·        23rd Street, NW from Virginia Avenue to Washington Circle, NW

·        H Street, NW from 17th Street to 15th Street, NW

·        I Street, NW from 17th Street to 15th Street, NW

·        K Street, NW from 17th Street to 15th Street, NW

·        Connecticut Avenue, NW from H Street to I Street, NW

·        Vermont Avenue, NW from H Street to I Street, NW

·        G Street, NW from 17th Street to 23rd Street, NW

·        F Street, NW from 17th Street to 23rd Street, NW

·        E Street, NW from 17th Street to 23rd Street, NW

demonstration basics

·        Demonstrators have the right to peacefully assemble, which is guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. However, the prolonged presence of a crowd always presents some risk of disorder, which may lead to vandalism or violence.

·        Demonstrators are frequently pre-disposed to be anti-authority.

Crows Management tips

·        Never turn your back on a crowd. Keep the crowd to your front of your. You can’t watch the crowd, or detect a disturbance, if you have your back turned.

·        Never lose sight of security officers or police officers. Keep yourself in a position so you can always see them. If the crowd begins to get in the way, back up, and re-establish visual contact.

·        Keep a constant watch on the crowd and look for trouble signs.

·        In the event of a disturbance, leave the area and do not engage with the people causing the disturbance.

Honestly ..... really good time to get some graffiti up in the city in open spots you would never dream of. Everyone is so worried about other crap.

Like snow storms in the 90s, DC streets would be eerily deserted and everything was fair game.

To be young and dumb again ...

You a graffiti artist? We are actually looking for one (I think) for my current gig to do some stuff on our properties in DC

Good time to rob a bank, like Die Hard 3.

Security theater since Kessler isn't even going to be in Charlottesville this weekend.

Seems like a case of closing the barn door after the horses got out.

Edit:  maybe see if they could be used in DC or NoVa?
