Seeing this makes me hurt in a very lawyerly way.  That moment where a client does something so monumentally stupid that you have to start damage control immediately or they will be sitting in jail (and blame you for their sitting in jail) is the moment where you realize that, yes, you are now a lawyer.  And people are stupid.

ughh.....the latest iteration of "Yes Roger Stone IS a jackass" just reminds me of one of those Law and Order episodes where the defense attorney says some incendiary thing in court and the judge states, "The jury will disregard", as though anyone will just unhear it. That pic of the judge is definitely rattling around the loonernet this morning for it's specific and conscious intent, to call out the judge to the morlocks. This is another "grab yer guns and git on down to Comet PingPong pizza!" ploy, with the usual pearl clutching "Who me??" deniability that Stone et. al. are known for.

What can they make stick?

 

Could it be legally construed as a threat toward a federal judge?

Inciting mayhem?

Any terrorism charges?

he could be charged for contempt.

 

He could also have a stronger gag order imposed.

 

Or he could just sit in jail until the trial after his bail gets revoked.
