How many achillies injuries in the NFL are treated by podiatrists? Claiming you know more than the team orthopedic surgeon is beyond laughable. They must of have never thought to check his maximum dorsiflexion angle in his numerous visits to specialists. Stick to ingrown toe nails.

Dude he never said he knew more than any team specialist. Where the **** is all your salt coming from? He is in medical school and is speaking from a position of education on this threads topic.

I posted in this thread to provide actual numerical values based on studies, since numbers were being thrown around. I wanted to provide medicine based evidence that the grim reaper was not knocking on Doctson's door.

I posted I have no idea about his specific case and never claimed anything close to what you say I did. I did not evaluate him. Due to the ignorance surrounding podiatry, which you beautifully demonstrated, people group ailments incorrectly or do not do their due diligence. There are podiatrists who cut toenails, and there are podiatrists who do trauma, fractures, tendon repairs, etc.

This is my specialty. I have spent the last 4 years of my life studying the anatomy and so much more of the hip, knee, and ankle. I have seen and participated in tons of Achilles procedures from direct repairs, grafts, anchoring, lengthening, and so on.

PS: In the state of VA, we can perform soft tissue procedures up to and including the hip.

The reason I am nervous about Josh is because of an interview I heard a while back. The interview was conducted by another Achilles injury victim - Junior Galette. Junior said in an interview that his doctor said that if one ruptures an Achilles, more than likely they "will" injure the other one at some point due to over compensation.

Damn!

My fear is that this ain't over for Josh. And because he hasn't played a down, that $10 million rookie contract is a liability.

Meh. Kid don't count. If he shows up next year and plays, bonus, but just like junior, until he proves hes a player, he ain't.

I understand the comparison, but don't think it's fair to put Doctson in the same category with Galette.

One is a second year player who had a strange injury that he's recovering from, while staying out of the press and media (except for an update here and there, which have been rare).  The other one is a player who got cut from his team for disciplinary reasons, has blown out both achilles tendons, and runs his mouth on twitter everyday about how good he is going to be.

I'm not a soapbox guy, and I understand that all choir boys will not make a championship team.  But if I had to pick which one I'd pull for over the other, I have a good idea who it would be.

Sounds like to me you really don't know the real difference between what a Podiatrist can do and what an Orthopedic does.

" At East Ocean Podiatry in South Florida, Dr.’s Sansone and Dorfman specialize in Achilles tendon injuries like DeAngelo Hall’s, as well as other related sports injuries. We understand that our patients want to get healthy and back on their feet, and we apply our expertise to help them heal as quickly and painlessly as possible." Link

Surprised this hasn't been posted here yet, but thought some might like to see this:

Notice that his eyes are covered by visor. The reason for it is so that we can't see the tears of despair streaming down his face. He really hates this team and hates the sport in general. He really just wants to go back home and play sandlot football with his dad in Texas.

What a wimp, what a bust. Let's cut him. I know exactly who we can sign to take his place: Chris Cooley.

Yea he's no big deal. I mean Mo Harris and Ryan grant are the mash potatoes and ol' floppy ankles can be the gravy if he decides he wants to play.

I only meant as far as being a contributing player. I am not counting on either, until I actually see them producing on the field.

As far as who I think has the higher probability of doing that? Doctson.

Who am I pulling for? Both. Be great to have an awesome WR, especially if we lose both and It'd be awesome to have a great pass rusher as well.

That said, I'll count on neither, until I see them play.

You forgot the key to the entire thing... his caption. He's admitting to wanting to tear something!!!! So obvious he hates football and is just looking for an injury settlement. :/

I am as excited about him as when we drafted him. I really hope this injury is behind him. If he avoids injury, this kid is going to be as stud.

I am trying not to get my hopes up, but he is one of the reasons I am excited about next season. We havent seen a receiver with his type of physical ability in washington for a loooooooong time.

Very excited to see what him, Crowder, and Reed can do.
