What Changes Would You Make?

And one more thing:

I'd whup Kirk Cousins ass for being a ****.  If that doesn't straighten him out, nothing will.

I'm wondering if KC doesn't trust the line to protect him and he's getting happy feet?

Also, his field vision/perception is off; underthrowing then overthrowing, he's shaky right now.  He is worth waiting and working him outta this, but that involves better playcalling, better running game, and getting his confidence up; right now I'm sure he's down on himself and rightfully so, but he needs to have a CB mentality and forget the past.

I think we ought to remove R. Ross and possibly Grant from the active 53 and sign a couple of d-linemen from some other team's PS.

Obviously to sign PS they have to be active, at least initially. But, just have ****ing auditions. What the **** do we have to lose?

Audition d-line, rotate the hell out of guys, carry more d-linemen than we currently do. I assume Golston is injured. This is the perfect time to grab someone that the GM liked during the last few drafts, a pet undrafted guy, and just give him a chance. If he stinks, cut him, move on to the next one until you find something.

Activate Nix for all I care. If he can walk, suit his ass up and send him to the front lines. Maybe he'll turn out to be a Hemingway or something.

1.) Redzone Play Calling - It was atrocious that we didn't run the ball all but one time on goal to go situations. And for the throws, the majority were fades. Why didn't we, I dunno, give Jordan Reed a single TARGET in the Redzone, when he was nigh uncoverable last year? I'm scratching my head on why were aren't going to him more often. Is the other team doubling him or something?

2.) Run the ball - Similar to Redzone play calling, use the run some more. We looked decent on some runs. Need to keep at it a bit more to open up the passing lanes. Kirk for some reason is struggling to pick up players dropping into zone coverage. If we use more play action and have a decent running game, we'll see less of that.

3.) Reassure Kirk that this is his team and he's getting the full 16 games. I can tell the drunks and irrationals are all out in full force for benching, but let's be real; Kirk's our best shot for any sustained success in a while. No, he did not play well today. Yes, this loss would have been a win if he hits one of the three passes that would be touchdowns. But the only way he will get better is if he plays. He's proven he can face adversity; reassure him we've got his back and let him have confidence.

4.) I dunno about the defense... They played better in the second half IMO. I think we're a little limited by defensive personnel on the line. This is something we need to fix with the draft and an offseason, and is our major shortcoming as a team.

Fire the entire coaching staff, ZERO discipline, penalty after penalty, sit some asses down when penalties keep fn happening. Horrible play calling, RUN THE BALL, stop the bs fade routes in the red zone, not working so adjust dummies. Can't believe Joe doo doo defense coordinator finally moved Norman to the other side of the field, maybe he does have half a brain.

Sit Bruton, Foster. Play Blackmon/Everrett, Spaight.

Draft some fn D lineman.

Release Lichtensteiger, play Long.

Slap Cousins if he throws stupid interceptions.

Try teaching discipline. We easily have the most offsides penalties at home ever. 4 from the center alone, the guy who's first job, is to know the snap count. The defense bites on the slightest play action causing wide open running and passing lanes. The time outs in the first quarter cost us time at the end of the half to try and score a touchdown. Overall, this is one of the most undisciplined football teams I have seen in my time, and for guys like Norman, who really is a stud, it is a damn shame that his talent is now going to get wasted on this team also.

Candy assed, bull****, no fundamental football. Can't stop the run, can't run the ball. Can't stop a 4th and 1 to save our life. Its always 4 down territory on us because all you have to do is run the ball for 4 guaranteed yards. Even better, run the same play the Steelers ran last week, release the tight end, and get a huge gain on 4th down with not a defender in sight.

Lichtensteiger needs to be demoted . Enough is enough. Put Long in. Honestly, how much worse could he be? Barry has not a creative gene in his body.

Sorry. The "Kirk needs to crowned as a starter to perform" excuse was last season. He is getting paid like a top QB and he has to perform as one. No more excuses.

I'll sign the petition to fire Barry. But while we're making changes, fire Scott Campbell too. I suspect he's infecting McC with the ho-hum virus that has plagued the Redskins' collegiate scouting and player personnel during his 16+ year tenure.

I'm a little terrified that Scot settled for our current scouts to make his relationship with Allen work, a smooth transfer into a role Allen used to hold and handed off to him.

That's probably dumb, and for a long time I've been of the mind that our "final say" guys (Vinny, then Shanahan, then Allen pre-McC) just misuse or ignore our scouts and that Scott looked back at years of scouting reports and liked them....but you kind of have a point.

If we keep spiraling like this, its going to get more and more disconcerting for people that Scot didn't overhaul everything he could have immediately when he got here as most new GM's do. Who knows if that will be right, but it was a little unusual. Unfortunately Scot's only experience with HC's is spiraling down into alcoholism over the necessity of firing Nolan, and then hiring Singletary. So...not inspiring. He's a GM, but also clearly just a glorified head scout who doesn't like to do the other stuff. Which would work if we could trust Allen to be part of the hiring process.

teach our OLB's to play the boot!!!!!!  So frustrating!!!

Can't teach them squat, the coaches have  had enough time, years. If they COULD teach they already would have.

The coaching staff stinks, both sides..getemm' out

We have the talent, less dline....its the coaches..

That's why i prefaced it with it won't do anything now.

Plus im not suggesting he cost us this game.

My point is its always the same old **** with this ****in team and the only thing that hasn't changed in the last 17 years is the owner .

So yes thats why i think we'd be better off.

And also read your thread title again carefully and you'll see my response has merit, otherwise be more specific.

Snyder will never sell the Skins. He grew up as a fan of the Redskins. He is a business man, unless somebody gives Snyder a real silly offer, say 2 billion dollars, and or a consortium of fans buy the Skins and the Skins become publicly owned, much like the Green Bay Packers. Hail

I'd be on the phone with Pot Roast immediately and get him in here and go with a defe sive kine of him, Baker and Jenkins so we can at least stop the run. This current personnel is not suited to run a 3-4 as we dont have a nose tackle and our middle linebackers are small. At least if you bring in Knighton and if you wanted to move to a 4-3 you still could.  We need to see if there are any free agent middle linebackers available.

Dude, you're the biggest change we need to make. You completely screwed the team over the last month or so when you kept calling everyone Hall of Famers and crap. You always do this to us. :P

Honestly, I'm not sure I'm joking here. :ols:

We need to find out if there is anyone still left from the 2006 Bucs staff and hire them right away.

Grant an automatic 3 year extension to any member of the coaching staff who grows a porn moustache. Trade 2 firsts and a 2nd to move up to pick the best 3rd string QB in the draft, and then start Sudfield.

After Rex Ryan gets fired from Buffalo, pass on hiring him so we can get his brother Rob.
