I dunno.  I can see this going away, squashed out by the powerful white men who don’t want the mominorities to continue ruining their fancy football league.

On one hand im glad it happened. People yucked up the stuff from the other week, but it was clear that it was all just a publicity stunt, and that the true message was lost. This makes that crystal clear, and leaves no doubt where the NFL truly stands

i will be disappointed if they capitulate

call their bluff

Wins matter more than anything else. I'd love to see Jerry hold back Prescott or Elliott if they kneel. Or Snyder hold back someone like Trent Williams.

Put them back on skates and put them on blast to the entire world.

Dak already said he not about that life

i have no doubt they would stop a "special teams only" player from playing if they kneel

gets a little harder if Josh Norman decides to kneel when he gets back.

I agree. It's only impossible when its Aaron Rodgers, or Tom Brady, or Drew Brees. Sadly, we know which way those ships are sailing

I'm noticing that some channels just aren't showing the anthem.  Anyone else notice that?

Not watching today but i noticed last week. Doesn't matter. Nowadays cameras are everywhere, and so are people who want to highlight/make an example out of someone else, which is how all of this got started in the beginning.

It's gotta sit well (no pun) for the Cowboys players knowing that their viewed as a piece of property.  I really hope one of the star players calls Jerry's bluff.

Not property, just employees.  The 1st amendment doesn't protect you from repercussions from your boss.  Not sure why people struggle to understand that.  Weren't we all cheering the people losing their jobs for marching in Charlottesville?

1) who the **** said anything about not understanding that

2) do you see why we would applaud one and not the other

Trying to sort thru this, kind of thinking out loud.

I support anyone's right to kneel whole heartedly.

By that same logic, I support a team owners mandate that players he's paying must stand, and if a player chooses to not play by the rules of said owner, he is (or will be) free to play for another team who's owner has different rules (even if I can disagree with both stances, practically and logically, but not in terms of absolute 'rights').

Been a long day, so please let me know if and where I'm screwing this up.

You really comparing folks losing a job due to supporting a white supremacy march and those protesting because they want racial EQUALITY?

Jerry talking about the flag, but it literally has NOTHING to do with it.

Not getting in this back and forth with you again, but you clearly don't get it.  The fact that you tried to make that initial comparison is ridiculous on so many levels.

Yes.  They are both protected under the 1st.

1). No one directly said it but some SEEM to struggle with it.

2). Absolutely.  Do you agree that it is important to defend speech you don't agree with?

It does if his revenue stream thinks it does....perhaps the protesters haven't convinced them of that.

And only one by basic human decency

Choose wisely

I've said before I disagree with what they say but defend their right to say it.  See #2 above.

When you've been so deep in the GOP muck for so long that your natural reflex is to compare peaceful kneeling for equal rights to ARMED OPEN CARRY NAZI MARCHERS...repeatedly.

The propangda is powerful.  It just dominates so many minds.

Please don't group me in with the GOP nut jobs.  My disdain for them is well documented here.
