Dan T.
Remember all those stories about J.J. Watt buying this remote, spartan log cabin way up in the woods in order to get away from civilization and train, Rocky IV style? He himself described it as "really minimalistic." http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25011311/jj-watt-bought-a-log-cabin-in-the-middle-of-nowhere-so-he-can-train Well, he's not exactly roughing it. The "minimalistic" log cabin, just outside Milwaukee, cost $800,000 and includes 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and an elevator, all on 35 acres with a barn that he will reportedly turn into a home gym. http://www.tmz.com/2015/02/28/j-j-watt-buys-baller-cabin-in-the-woods/?adid=tmzhero2

Bang
Probably not using fabric softener. Honestly,, if the pioneers had to deal with scratchy towels, this country would have never gotten off the ground. ~Bang
SkinsGuy
Maybe he doesn't have a TV? Or beer. No TV and no beer make Homer something... something.

Rex Tomb
That thing has an elevator? Where does it go, the Earth's core? If you're JJ Watt - yes. The Earth's core is HIS fortress of solitude.

Mr. Sinister
He betrayed all of us. He's supposed to take his money and live in a box on the side of the road It probably is minimalistic with that contract he signed The fact that this is supposed to be noteworthy, is laughable
Destino
Type "minimalist" into Google and then hit images. Tell me how many every man broke homes you see versus stuff like this
MattFancy
What happened to the dude on here who kept bringing this up when blasting Robert lol Probably banned lol. But I remember that. Dude was talking about how Watt doesn't tweet and just works hard in the offseason. Saw a few Watt tweets the other day haha.

Nothing necessarily against JJ Watt, just mild amusement at him nudging the narrative that he's undergoing self-deprivation at some barebones shack in the wilderness to train. Conn
Don't really blame him with the contract he got. He did actually rough it on a college buddies living room floor one summer in the past though. Did pretty much nothing but work out and barely even saw his family who lived in the same town. Kind of interesting.
Califan007 The Constipated
"Rouging it" = "No internet" "Rouging it" = "No cell phone signal" "Rouging it" = "Pizza Hut won't deliver that far out" But to be fair, this is Watt's normal home:
MassSkinsFan
What were people expecting? He's a rich athlete, he's not Tucker and Dale buying a fixer upper. We're Skins fans. We're expecting Riggo wearing camo, drinking a beer at 10AM somewhere in Kansas.
Destino
We're Skins fans. We're expecting Riggo wearing camo, drinking a beer at 10AM somewhere in Kansas. That's a good point. However JJ Watt's contract averages around 16 million a year. In 1985, Riggo's last year in the NFL, teams spent an average of 15 million total for their entire rosters. If Riggo had Watt's money he'd still have been in camo drinkin beer, but he'd be doing it on a bigger plot of land in front of a bigger house... and not even coach Gibbs would have been able to tell him ****. He bought it soon after rebranding himself J.J. the Great and moving to St. Petersburg in the offseason. Here's his weight room:
