TheGloryDays
Quite honestly, I'm done with Cobra Kai. In this league, touchbacks are as important as FG accuracy, and given his miss today, even his accuracy is in question. I think he lost his confidence in 2013 for some reason. Even so, he was never able to get touchbacks. We should have kept the rookie.
Momma There Goes That Man
Kai also has a groin injury doesn't he? No excuse for the missed chip shot FG but still. I'm also not sure who out there is better. We have to find a kickoff specialist. It reduces the chance we give up a TD or field position or have an injury on the play. It's inexcusable. I really thought we had gotten this ironed out this year and were going to see Improvement. Disappointing that doesn't appear to be the case. It's not even just our coverage, we can't field a punt without getting a holding or block in the back and Roberts bobbles one catch and earlier took one out of the back of the endzone to get tackled at the 13. It's just incompetence all across the board
knowledge316
Why did he get injured? His hamstring gets hurt whenever he's asked to kick the ball in the endzone. You can't keep a kicker for only FGs. I was against getting ridding of Gano, dude is a beast for Panthers.
SweetAlfred
I wanna know why they lined up so far to the left to kick that field goal, looked like they were straight up aiming for the goal post.

skinnyskins
Remember in the preseason when Gruden jokingly said he was afraid of Kotwica and would stay away from messing with his "Special Forces"? Yeah, well it's not so funny anymore. These Special Forces look more like the idiots from Stripes. Gruden better get up in that ass this week and get that unit into shape. Also, don't forget we were saved from a punt return today by a desperate shoestring tackle.
S.T.real,lights,out
Issue with kickoffs is the only way our Kickers can reach the end zone is if the kick line drivers. Would rather just kick the stupid thing out of bounds. And what has gone unmentioned is the shoestring tackle... If you can even call it that... Saved a punt return for a td. Still not sure how that stopped sproles. Lol, beat me to it skinny. Teams are an embarrassment. Feel like we are the only team in the league with this issue. Almost time to put starters out there. You don't get to choose which hash mark to kick from. The ball is spotted on the hash mark corresponding to the side of the field where the last play ended. If you want the ball to be spotted in the middle, your last play should end between the hash marks. Some times you'll see teams who have a down to burn "set up for the kick" by running the ball in between the hash marks to get better position (if that's what the kicker prefers). PeterMP
Because we have an over emphasis on filling gaps (frequently with stars) to be better the next year rather than build an actually good team from top to bottom. When was the last time you heard of a team going from starting their 6th round draft pick from 2 years go to cutting them the next week at any position? Bang
I'm not biying the talent excuse anymore. Kicking, OK, I buy it, Kai has no leg. Penalties and sloppy coveratges,, Kotwika has to get it together. This offseason particularly signed a lot of players who were to play special teams, and young players always populate teams. Offsides on kickoffs, whiffs on blocks, 4 special teams penalties last week.. it's plain sloppy. Lack of discipline, badly coached. Too much "special forces" sloganeering and not enough fundamental football. ~Bang

If it is always the coach, at some point in time you have to look beyond the coach.
Shiv
ST are so important. Just look at what happened in the PIT CAR game. That's game over for the Panthers.
Duckus
I was kind of nervous about the Kotwika hire this off-season. His resume was awfully thin as a ST coach. He needs to get his **** together ASAP.
Commander PK
What makes it so frustrating is that this team could very well be 3-0. Instead they are sitting at 1-2 and have already lost two very winnable games, that will end up coming back to bite them in the ass later. They are not good enough to overcome mistakes and a lack of discipline in crucial moments.
GoDeep81
I don't know if it's the coaches or the players just being simple.. But I do know I'd find out real quick as I'd disect tape and anyone making a mistake on teams would be doing bag sprints until they puked.. This has just gotten beyond old.. Like years and years old.. We'll never be **** until we fix the teams unit. Even scrubs like Jville and Oakland have teams units that runs rings around us. Hell, if it wasn't for a shoe string tackle they'd of given up a second TD today!! Just embarrassing and pathetic.. And don't even get me started on the missed chipshot.. Leave **** like that back in highschool or college.. I just don't see how the owner/staff could have time for this kinda **** anymore..
Hunter_R
Given our current woes this was tough to hear on SNF......."Suisham hits his 20th field goal in a row."And yet, Forbath is more accurate in his career than Suisham. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/fg_perc_active.htm He doesn't have 100 attempts yet, but his percentage is 86.7. That puts him at number 2 on that list (fg% of active players). There are 4 kickers not shown. Kai is one of them. The worst he could be is 5th. Darc Requiem
The special teams are why we are 1-2 instead of 3-0. They've cost us two games this year.
Hunter_R
The special teams are why we are 1-2 instead of 3-0. They've cost us two games this year. They don't deserve all the credit for those losses. Everyone could share the blame in the first game, and they split it with the defense today. Not an even split today, but the defense didn't do anybody any favors by letting the Eagles answer back every drive in the first half. Overall, they have been bad in all three games, though. Unacceptable.
