  1. The defense was outstanding outside of the terrible penalties. This offense is just hot garbage. Most time can't even get out of their own way. And to think we thought we had an explosive offense a couple of weeks back!
  2. I have a different what if for the current gen. What if Snyder allows Schottenheimer and his crew to remain in place after the 2001 season and continue to run the football side of things? Very hypothetical because we all know Dan could NOT stand being unable to meddle. But it's still an intriguing what if IMO.
  3. For those saying that wasn't his best game today...yes maybe I agree. But I will say that was the worst pass protection he's had recently. He was under siege quite often. Given the circumstances I think he played quite well tbh.
  4. I noticed that as well....all game. There must have been some bad feelings during his very brief stint here. His commentary was blatantly slanted against us. It was so bad I considered muting the sound a few times.
  5. Seems like sentiment on the offense has gone due south now that we're approaching the season opener. I remember posters here bullish on our offense vastly improving after the Fitz signing. I remember quite a few posters commenting that our current offense was better than anything he's had to work with in quite a while. What changed? Was pre-season that bad??
  6. Yeah, I stopped buying it annually almost 10 years ago. This coming from a guy that used to buy it on day one launch since it debuted in 1990. I've purchased it a couple of times in recent years when it's been on sale late in the year for like $20......only to be quickly reminded why I don't buy it anymore. It seems to me they cater exclusively to the competitive online crowd. I suppose that generates enough sales. They've ignored the "SIM" crowd for many, many years. Franchise mode has been largely untouched since the PS2/Xbox days. Franchise was literally more robust and complete back then.....it even had an accompanying radio show. And the game play just feels so stale. Sad because I have many fond memories of the game from my teens and twenties.
  7. Now on NFL Network the ticker says he has been diagnosed with skin cancer. Was the original report of of lymph node cancer incorrect?
  8. I just got a Covid test on Friday at a local clinic here in South Florida. It was not self administered. I was prepared for the long, uncomfortable swab up to the brain that I've heard everyone describe(including co-workers that have been tested). Each nostril was quickly swabbed in a circular fashion with a very short swab. It was not inserted very deep into my nose and it was surprisingly gentle. I did not feel resistance at all. I immediately had doubts that the test was performed correctly and even questioned the tech. Can anyone confirm is this a new type of testing method? It's not what I was expecting at all and I question whether I was correctly tested.
  9. We're in Indian River county Florida(Vero Beach). I have an 8 year old and a 12 year old. Our schools re-open August 10th. There are 3 options. In person at school, virtual learning from home, or 9 weeks of virtual learning followed by attending in person from there on out. Even though my wife could stay home with them, we are leaning towards sending them back right away. We have no confidence the virtual learning will be anywhere close to sufficient. And I've been going to work all along anyway. We've just had our first 2nd hand exposure(co-worker's wife just tested positive). With the direction our numbers are headed down here I feel it's only a matter of time(as in near future) that our household is infected anyhow. And we have been advised we need to make a choice and stick with it by this Friday. I think it is just awful that we have been put in a position to have to make this kind of decision. I wish we'd been given at least a couple more weeks to see where infection numbers go before we make a final decision.
  10. Here in Florida they've announced 1,419 new cases today, the largest single day increase since the pandemic began. Yet most of the state begins phase 2 of re-opening tomorrow.
  11. And meanwhile the stock market continues to climb back up. Anybody think we can expect another big dip around the corner?
  12. My son and I have tickets and hotel reservations for Wrestlemania in Tampa the weekend of April 5. For anyone unfamiliar with Wrestlemania, that event always attracts thousands of fans from overseas. Not ideal given the current situation. I'm almost expecting the whole event to be cancelled. There's already been a couple of cases reported just outside the Tampa area and we still have more than a month for more to spread.
  13. I'm in Vero Beach. Now seems to be directly headed our way. I've been through a few of these, but this one seems real scary.
  14. No, Game Pass is only a 7 day free trial. That's the one I'm talking about. And if you don't cancel you will be billed $100. So you're only gonna get one game with your trial.
  15. Only preseason. You do get all pre-season games for every team. Still a rip off at $100. I used to buy it when it was only $20.
  16. Can confirm, it did recognize my card last year. So you'll need a 2nd card as well as a 2nd email for another trial.
  17. The trial is good for a week. So just one game. The package was $20 just 2 or 3 years ago. They've jacked it up to $100. That's outrageous to watch glorified practices online.
  18. That was the most fun I've had at a wrestling show in years! Moxley vs. Janela was absolutely nuts!! I knew it would be a wild match but I didn't imagine they'd take it to that level of crazy(barbed wire chair, barbed wire tables and bags of tacks)! The crowd was amazing, the level of excitement was amazing. I wanted to get a souvenir shirt after the event but the line was at least 100 people deep and I had a long drive home. Two breakout stars from the show in my mind were MJF and Darby Allin. Both were great, MJF's promo was gold! The production aspect still needs a little work. They had two trons but they only had the AEW logo on them 90% of the time. We were almost floor level and when the action spilled out of the ring on certain sides we couldn't see. They need to tighten that kind of stuff up. But hey, only their second show. I'm very excited to see where they go from here. I'll be going to their next show in Jacksonville with my wife. Will be interesting to see what they do with their weekly show this fall.
  19. I'll be at Fyter Fest tomorrow night with my son. Really looking forward to it.
  20. Jon Moxley declared for the NJPW G1 tournament today. Can't wait to see some of those matches against top Japanese talent.
  21. TNA goes by Impact now. They dropped the TNA over a year ago if I'm not mistaken. Not long after the Hardys left and Dixie Carter went away. So I could see why you would think they were gone. That company is the ****roach of the pro wrestling industry. They've seemingly been on the brink of folding so many times, problems paying the talent etc. But they always manage to survive.
  22. So did anyone else check out AEW's Double or Nothing this weekend? While it wasn't perfect(they need to work on some things production wise) it was one hell of a show. Cody Rhodes vs. Dustin Rhodes was better than it had any right being(and a real blood orgy). Young Bucks vs. Lucha Bros was everything great about tag team wrestling that WWE is not. Jon Moxley(aka Dean Ambrose) showed up at the end proceeding to kick everyone's ass and brawl with Kenny Omega. Shot fired, notice has been served. If you're a wrestling fan and have grown tired of the WWE product you may want to give these guys a try. They'll have a weekly show on TNT that I believe is starting this fall. I still enjoy the WWE product myself and I hope this will push them to improve as well. This could rival or maybe trump the old Monday NIght Wars. Either way we've been long overdue for some legitimate competition for WWE.
  23. Things seem to have changed this year. AT&T seems to have assimilated DirecTV now. I've been with them for about 15 years. Up until this year I simply call, threaten to cancel and received an embarrassment of compensation to get me to stay. Free Sunday Ticket, x amount off my bill for 12 mos., free movie channels for 3 mos, etc. This year it took me 5 calls and I finally got the $60 off per month for 12 mos. And that's it. Each and every rep insisted they COULD NOT discount my Sunday Ticket whatsoever. Hell the first rep I got rather quickly asked me the effective date for my cancellation without offering ANYTHING to retain me!! Certainly tougher sledding this year.
  24. I thought you could get the Sunday Ticket unconditionally without DirecTV service. Apparently you can't. If you are able to get DirecTV at your address that is the only way you are allowed to purchase Sunday Ticket. You cannot purchase it as a stand alone for streaming. What a load of crap!!
  25. Has anyone tried to get a deal on their Sunday Ticket with DirecTV for this season? It seems AT&T has fully taken over and they are stingy. I've gotten the ticket free for the last 3 years and at least a hefty discount for as long as I remember. I've made 3 calls and they won't even offer any kind of discount on the Sunday Ticket. And as always my tactic is the old "cancel service" approach. The first reps only question was when I'd like the cancellation to take effect! Lol. DirecTV used to offer me the sun and the moon to keep me from cancelling. I've been with them for over 15 years. At this point I'm ready to cancel service and just get the Sunday Ticket through my Playstation. Anybody else had any luck?
