Springfield
Can't wait to see if there are any surprises today. Most likely not, but I'm still ready to get rid of of this 4s in favor of a bigger screen. Spare me your Android loving, Apple bashing you jerks. Keep it to Apple talk. rictus58
Keep it to Apple talk. There's a farm near me which in a week or two will start stocking Honeycrisp Apple Cider. Can't wait.
RonArtest15
I hope they announce a new iPod Touch with more GBs (hopefully around 128 or so). My iPod classic is on it's last legs, and I'm waiting to see if Apple is going to drop a new Touch. The only thing holding me back from buying a touch right now is the small GB space in comparison to the Classic.
TheGoodBits
Kinda of interested to see the new one. I'm in the market for a new phone in the next couple months, pretty tired of my S3. Went Android for my first smartphone, wife went with the iPhone 5. I like hers better... My hope is that they make one that is a little smaller than the S3 and a little bigger than the iPhone 5. Would be the perfect size imo.
Corcaigh
Bigger screen and less ****ty camera likely means I'll ditch my ancient iPhone 4 for the 6. Although I hear that U2 are going to be there for the announcement. Apple and U2 in the same room? Is this a product launch or a conference on international tax evasion? HogNose
I guess this means the 5S will be free now with a 2 year contract? I'm ready to ditch my 4s.
Springfield
Most have said the 6 will be about the same size as the Galaxy phones and the phablet will be about as big as the Note.
TheGoodBits
Most have said the 6 will be about the same size as the Galaxy phones and the phablet will be about as big as the Note. Little too big... Cumbersome in my hand. Guess I'll have to check it out in person to make a decision. Might end up just going with the free (or cheap) 5s. Gamebreaker
My wife has been waiting for this all year. She refuses to use Android, so Shea been struggling with a slow iPhone 4S for two and a half years. I like both android and iPhone. Never seen the big deal in people having to bash one or the other. codeorama
I'm excited, I have a 5 and didn't upgrade to the 5s so I will be upgrading. I hate the "big phone" phablets. I'm happy with the size of the iphone 5. That being said, I'm open minded. I'd imagine if 2 are announced, I'm sure to get the smaller of the 2. I don't understand the bashing either. To each his own. I have stuck with iphones because I'm in the ecosystem. My school gives me iTunes cards because I use a lot of videos and movies (clips, I don't let students just sit in class and watch movies), so I have a big iTunes movie/Tv show library. Its easier for me personally. If you like Android. Good for you.

Personally the whole Android/Apple thing is overblown. Both borrow from the other so much that the differences for the average smartphone user who doesn't understand the differences under the hood is negligible. The battle was more legit back in 2010. The differences in the OS's now isn't enough to warrant the battle anymore. Now both OS's have improved dramatically (especially Android because early on it was clearly inferior) and the consumers win. Capitalism worked. I have an Android, and if I woke up tomorrow and it was an iPhone, I'd carry on about my day.

Gamebreaker
Yeah. Both android and Apple do the same things, it's more of a preference thing for those particular fans. Android users like being able to customize their phone, to really make it their own personalised device. I get that, and which is why I have a HTC One M7, but sometimes I get tired of the constant maintenance I need to do in order to keep my custom ROM and my backups working properly. Apple users, like my wife, want all the things android does without the work. They don't enjoy that crap, just want a simple but intuitive interface that is efficient and doesn't have them dragging a charger with them everywhere they go. I get that too. Seems most of us in this thread do as well.

My wife is on Android and she has not done any customization and I think she's representative of 99% of users. Now, the (male) software and electrical engineers I work with they're all over the added usability of android but they are in the vast minority (as most adults who are virgins are). CrypticVillain
I been rocking my Note 2 since last year. A lot of people around me are using iPhones. To make things easier as far as communication and whatnot, I'm going to get the big boy 6. Plus, I want to switch it up. I never had an iPhone before. Had an iPad, but sold it because I was using my Note 2 more. But I think it's time to switch things up and go with something new.

That's likely true. I am a network administrator and a lot of friends work in a similar field. They all own android and they do the customizing, anyone who doesn't like that stuff goes Apple. I understand that is just experience though.

Dont Taze Me Bro
Me and the wife both have the 4. Wife wants the 6, I was wanting to switch back to android and go with a Galaxy S5 because of the bigger screen. After reading this thread, if the 6 is indeed going to have a bigger screen, close to that size, then I might stay on board. I love both platforms to be honest, they both offer some great features the other doesn't. Apple of course is more user friendly and not to mention I have all the apps I paid for that would be lost in a new phone. I dunno, we shall see what unfolds before I make a decision. Most likely not, but I'm still ready to get rid of of this 4s in favor of a bigger screen. Spare me your Android loving, Apple bashing you jerks. Keep it to Apple talk. The surprise is going to be that Apple is announcing a wearable device.. like a wrist watch.. and it's going to charge without the use of a wire... you just set it proximal to a charging station and it will charge automatically. Which will be a big improvement over the Google wearable device which all have their proprietary docking stations. Also Apple is going to announce a new iWallet app for the iPhone which will allow your iPhone to be used as a credit card in many stores. From what I ]'ve heard. That's what the insiders, columnists known to have the inside scoop because Apple has used them in the passed to leak news about upcoming products. Cooleyfan1993
i've had my 4s since a couple of days before my 19th birthday, so it was a late (by a few days) graduation present. never had to replace the actual phone, but had to get the screen fixed a few times (once because my GF was holding it and she dropped it, and the other time because it fell out of my pocket). i asked my dad if i could get the 6 for christmas, and he says most likely. hoping to get it
sjinhan
I have been wanting to get a Galaxy Note for the big screen but couldnt because everyone in my family uses iPhone and all my apps are already paid for... I will be trading in my iPhone5s as soon as the bigger version of iPhone 6 comes out. Great news!!!
grego
I guess this means the 5S will be free now with a 2 year contract? I'm ready to ditch my 4s. ive had a 4s for about 20 months. it recently started crapping out. cant get an upgrade til february without paying full price for a replacement (thats not gonna happen), so i ordered and LG Lucid off amazon for $70. omg, what a piece of crap. between the special bright screen and the 4g (which doesnt seem to make a bit of difference cuz the goddam phone is too slow), the battery is at 50% after a few hours and almost no use. its nearly impossible to text. the screen isnt sensitive at all while texting, yet ive butt texted and butt dialed several times. the camera is garbage and, like i said, its slow. i never thought i'd miss it, but i cant wait til feb when i can get a new 5s (hopefully for free). this new 'edge' plan theyve been pushing wants you to buy the phone full price and make payments on it. forget that.
