RT @Redskins Griffin III calls the joy of his teammates after the touchdown, particularly the #Redskins defenders, "unbelievable." #skinscamp

My dad was always a huge Redskins fan with the logo all in his car and when we lived in Dallas someone egged his car.

I was a little surprised that Shanny chose limited action for RGIII his first preseason game. I would have thought he would play a little more so he could geo additional reps in against another team.

I read somewhere that he didn't want any of the starters playing more than 12 or so snaps...not sure how true that is, though.

What is he supposed to say? That he doesn't mind or welcomes getting hit? That could just as easily be construed as someone trying to give him a "Welcome to the NFL, rookie" moment.

We as fans can't be afraid of RG3 getting hit. It's going to happen. And how is expressing confidence is one's offensive line a bad thing?

Agreed. RGIII has a sense of humor - fans need to learn to roll with it.

Paulsen

Trent Williams: "I feel a lot better." Can he return to team drills tomorrow? "Of course, if coach let's me go I'm going to go." #Redskins

I think Wednesday would be a better day for a full practice. He's way too important to the offensive line but what do I know

The standard response here on ES seems to be an either/or type of scenario lol...

How about something simple like "The line did a good job of protecting me"?...unless the question was "When was the last time you got hit", he's offering up too much in his answers.

Wouldn't be to concerned with him mentioning not getting hit since last year. There is nothing he can say that is going to "gear up" a defender more then they already are. This is the NFL. Nobody is going to hit him harder because of this quote.

They might hit him late, though...

Plus there's just the karma aspect of it all lol...like "let's not push our luck, here..."

QBs get hit, it'll more than likely happen this next game against the Bears. How many games do Qbs go through without getting sacked? its pretty rare

I'm pretty sure if any Bronco lineman let Peyton get hit, they are getting cut right on the spot lol

Franchise removal's the worst thing that goes on in pro sports imo. At least the Browns did it the right way, if there is such a thing, so Cleveland fans eventually got their historical team back.

Gotta give Ravens fans a break though, the older ones had the Baltimore Colts taken from them in the middle of the night.

Bull****. What happened to Baltimore was wrong, but it's not like they were selling out Memorial Stadium at the time either. it was more like 2/3 full. But it was wrong. So it's ok for them to do the same thing, except to a fanbase that is as good as any in pro sports, when they know what it was like to have it happen to them? Bull****. They should know NOT to do it. I was a Colts fan. I watched the Mayflower trucks driving out that night on the News. And I know what they did to Cleveland was bull****.

Memorial Stadium was really bad off and not in the best location at the time. The team had sucked for awhile and Bert Jones was their big hope. It was honestly one of the worst things the NFL allowed to happen considering the loyalty, kinda weird because they ended up getting the Browns to leave Cleveland. I think that actually makes it worse.

I agree with both points. Although they had some decent RB's with Curtus Dickey and Lydell Mitchell, they had not been good since the mid to late 70's. It was a crappy thing, and because the city went throught all of that knowing what it feels like, you would think they would understand why not to do it to another team. So I agree, I think it makes the Cleveland move worse. That city supported it's team no matter what, old beat up stadium or not, you knew the place would be sold out and the Dawg Pound would be rocking. Horrible decision by the NFL.
