I'm left wondering how we already have 3 Fleetwood Mac songs in the first 100 none of which are ones I would pick as my first choice from them.

If you would have told me that 2pac and Biggie was not going to be in the first 96 songs I would say you are crazy. I know I won't be putting them on here no time soon...

100. Gordon Lightfoot---Don Quixote

I was staying out of this for awhile just to watch, and I love all the choices so far. I'll throw in one of my innumerable (being a music slut) favorites and justify it by not only the story it tells (I'm big on lyrics) and it's beautiful and elegant simplicity as a song, but that it is also from a very talented but under-rated artist. Problem is it's hard to find a video that's worth much. :(

I recommend reading the lyrics, and if ever possible, hearing the vinyl on an upper-end system.

More later. Another great thread. :)

102Descendants- Camage.

While they may not be the best ever or the most well known, they totally shaped my life. They also are one of the most unsung heros in the punk rock genre and made such a huge difference in things. I love this song so much and it helped me through so many hard times that I'd put it in a list I've only mentioned Marley and Motorhead. This band was incredible and really was one of the greatest. I really wish they got the credit.

I've had to edit the number of all three songs. Sucks. Buddy Holly? Blue Days, Black Nights and then Oh Boy, Jonny Be Good, Not fade away? Come on man, He was one of the best and you go with chewing gum?

My favorite Holly song is actually Peggy Sue Got Married, but I thought plain ol' Peggy Sue would fit the context of this thread more.

Interesting that that video shows him in his later years. My wife and I saw him in concert a few years ago. This was after his illness (which included a tracheotomy) and it was painfully obvious his voice was not what it once was. :(
