NoCalMike
The health care bill is a microcosm for modern day politics in general. The public doesn't support it, but continues to vote for the people that are pushing for it. I am not sure if this has to do with consistently bad Democratic candidates or brilliant campaigning by the GOP, or maybe a mix of both?
No Excuses
Nothing trumps the fear of losing your culture and identity. The poor, uneducated GOP base is sticking around and will gladly march towards its economic doom just to make sure "others" don't take what's "theirs". Sticking it to coastal liberals will really rejuvenate Appalachia. Middle America pretty much deserves everything it receives over the next several years. They wanted this, they got it. Some of the biggest beneficiaries of Obamacare were poor, uneducated whites in deep red counties in states like Kentucky, WVa and Arkansas. Yet, they foolishly voted for the same people who will now dismantle the coverage they receive to make their rich friends happy. Really sticking it to the cultural elite. LadySkinsFan
The moderate Republicans need to step up and take a stand against this legislation.
Going Commando
Republican cannibalism. Take a principled stand to protect your constituents against disgusting legislation that was drafted in secret, with zero outside input, that EVERYONE opposes. Your party leadership will then immediately spend millions to destroy you. They're the lowest form of scum.

I hope the voters are actually watching.

Llevron
Kinda wild that this President and his WH are going to war with everyone who disagrees with him. Isn't that kind if the point? To see different sides and then find a way to work it out? They almost sound like angry libs when you put it that way >.>

Cooked Crack
Emotional thread on what lifetime caps will do. There's going to be many sob stories like this when TrumpCare passes. These guys know this bill is a turd burger and people will die because of it but they couldn't care less. This is literally what people voted for. Riggo-toni
The silver lining to all this is that between this bill, skyrocketing opioid addiction, and the loss of a significant percentage of doctors in rural areas thanks to anti-immigration policies (immigrants make up a disproportionate number of doctors in godforsaken areas), a lot of Trump voters will die off. Just as lemmings drown themselves en masse when overpopulation makes survival problematic, there seems to be a subconscious natural directive for people in areas left unproductive by technological change to commit a sort of collective suicide. #runlemmingsrun Edited June 24, 2017 by Riggo-toni
