Really annoying to see a player hit their potential when they get traded away from team you like.... especially since he was supposed to put up numbers like that in DC. He’s being talked about as a leader over there and the early reviews are all glowing. I don’t think there was any room for him to speak up in a wizards locker room, which is dominated more successful players with stronger personalities. He might be a great addition for a team hoping to convince their young players to play defense. No Excuses Posted March 6, 2019 Share Posted March 6, 2019 (edited) If Oubre can become a competent three point shooter, he will be a solid 20 PPG wing player with good defense and decent rebounding. The few draft picks this team has utilized, we can’t even cash in on them due to mismanagement. You look at NBA rosters of the top teams in each conference and see plenty of players drafted outside of the lottery being primary contributors. It’s just aggravating that standards are so low in DC that Ernie’s bandaid rosters somehow get a pass from both the media and ownership.
