Think there have been studies linking FB with depression and lowered self-esteem because it's a melting pot of the best things in everyones' lives. Here's a friend on the beach, here's a friend at the Grand Canyon, here's a friend with a new baby, here's one celebrating his 10th wedding anniversary. Ect ect ect. You'll get the occassional super sad post, but that just adds to the underlying depressive state of mind.
