Not a great selection. Just a bunch of ok teenie movies and some action. Nothing that really captivates you.

All said, Rocky IV, going away

The Color Purple was a teenie movie?

I would say It and The Breakfast Club was the best of 85. I'm also one of the few that liked European Vacation.

I had to vote for The Mask. Hard to believe Jim Carrey has been killing it since 85, he looks great for his age. That movie was a lot fun. It was like a live action Bugs Bunny cartoon. There was an impromptu conga line, explosives, eyes bulging out of heads...it was great. And young Cameron Diaz with some meat on her bones...whew.

Of course, you know what the movie Mask is right?

One movie you left out Ron, the movie that stole the best picture Academy Award from The Color Purple, "Out of Africa."

I bumped it for Real Genius because I loved that movie as a kid.  I figured Out of Africa didn't really have a chance with this crowd anyway.  lol

Return of the Living Dead is the great movie of all time.

That movie was both hilarious and terrifying at the same time.  Easily in my top 10 horror movies of all time.

Wow, that is a good list,, i picked the Goonies for no other reason than why not. I couldn't pick a single movie on that list.

Many underrated ones like The Witness, Pale rider, and Weird Science.

Good year for movies.

These threads are fun, if for no other reason than I remember where i saw them and with who. Nice trips down memory lane.

Weak year (comparatively speaking). I have to go with Witness. Harrison Ford was a mega star at this point, coming off Star Wars, Indy

and Blade Runner. Witness was another strong outing for him.

2nd gotta go with Marty McFly and Back to the Future.
