Sam strikes me as a good QB who maybe could get us into contention with a very strong roster but...he'd play great most of the game in the playoffs only to give it up last with a boneheaded throw.

 

I don't want to make too much of that this early in his career, but he did the same thing at UNC.  If he's going to be THE GUY, he's gotta grow out of that.  He's basically a rookie, so you gotta allow him the proper time to "season" himself.

So on the replay of the pick… why are our receivers not reading coverage and route adjusting? Logan Thomas had an easy middle of field adjustment but he kept up the seam and wound up on top of Brown’s route. 
 

That’s not necessarily WHY the pick happened. Howell sailed it. But it didn’t help.
