Washington played well against them the 1st time and it's continuing today

They got away with murder last week against the Dolphins, gave up 400ish yards to prime-time Cousins, eeked wins out against the Pats, us...just not good teams. This team is a paper tiger in the secondary.

Sam is ON today. Wide open to Dotson.

He has been money.  Even the little things like the ball placement to Logan Thomas and Brian Robinson as he was moving in the pocket allowed his receivers to keep stride and get some extra yards than if they had to slow down to catch them.  Those throws are a lot harder than they look.  Obviously improved play calling and a long overdue change to OL starting lineup have been major boosts too.

Again, this is what happens with a strong armed QB when you get the ball out of his hands quickly and call routes to hide the OL’s deficiencies.

Couldn't agree more. Some of it was obviously play-calling, but some of it was on Howell's ability to make quicker decisions. Both seem to be improved so far today.

THE WORST OFFENSIVE LINE IN HISTURY is having a pretty good day.  Musta got coached up a little, couple running plays…

I am thinking Tyler Larsen is better at calling protections than Nick Gates

Odd that we can block all the sudden. Amazing what a QB can find with more than 2 seconds to make a decision.

It’s an effect of getting the ball out quickly earlier, actually having success running the ball a bit, putting together longer drives. The D has to respect all the tools in your toolbox instead of just crashing down on the QB bc you’re trying to force an intermediate passing game with no rhythm or short outlets. Life gets a lot easier when you call games like this and it’s puzzling it took so long for EB to figure it out. Did he figure it out even, or is this just today’s gameplan because they’re breaking in a new OL? Hard to say

Completely disagree with the idea some of it was on Howell. It was the playcalls. They had no quick hot outlet on a lot of plays and Howell didn’t have time.
