Gosh dang it I have hated the direction this team had gone, name change, drafting, scheme etc. but this team is feeling something…I truly feel like they can beat the raiders…will they 🤷‍♂️ But I the most negative fan of them all am riding with the team formerly known as the redskins

Washington used to be the great redskins: 17

Just win baby Raiders: 13

ugly game but we get it done

This is getting interesting. Both the Eagles and Giants are having QB issues. Jones is hurt and Hurts is out. Looks like they are starting Gardener MInshew.

Win this game and they really have a lot of control. Minn will win tomorrow outside a complete **** the bed performance. They play the Lions.

Having said that this is shaping to be the game that puts a dagger in our backs. Get all excited thinking they are for real and they lay an egg. I hope not. Going into the 5 Div games 6-6 would be major. You could go 3-2 and probably still get in. Go 4-1 and it's a lock. Win tomorrow and even with dallas winning thursday the div is still in play since we play them twice.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited for today. Pretty big game really.

Short week with basically 2 days to practice & then fly across the country versus a well rested Raider team at home.

Typically, this game would seem to be an instant L.

However, with Ron getting his energy back after his chemo treatments last year & Heini getting weapons back & the Defense finally getting their **** together…. I’ll take a 1 point win.

Normally I'd put no stock in this game, but it kind of has a week 17 win and in feel to it, with everything stacked against us. The one thing we can do is just physically beat them down. Just Marty ball the hell out of them.

Putting aside my drilled in - we typically come up short and suck in these situations - my pure football concerns are some key injuries.

Losing McKissick is huge. Can Jordan P take up the slack? Maybe Samuel is finally healthy enough to take that load. But he will be difficult to replace. Also, since his move to LB Collins has been a catalyst to the Ds resurgence. On the oline Flowers, Larson, Scherff all banged up. And to top it off we have yet another PK.

So far I have to give the coaches credit, they have had the next ready pretty much all season and especially during this late run. But do they still have more, with a short week and a trip across country?

To be fair a loss here is not a death knoll. It makes things much more difficult but not hopeless by any means. But a win and talk about purging demons and forging a true identity.

It's been a long time since I had trouble sleeping in anticipation of a game. HTTWFT!!!!

If there's a team to face without Collins, it's the Raiders. They should keep us in nickle and dime a lot today and this keeps JDR from trying to put Collins in coverage. We'll probably see more Everett and maybe some Apke along with Fuller, WJIII and DJ as the starters. Maybe McCain will play some corner today. Not sure.

Was this supposed to make me feel better?

If we're in nickel and dime a lot, let's see some Shaka Toney!

Nope.

Better hope the wheels don't fall off Gibson, cause we're gonna run the snot out of him.

I think Samuel's will play the McKissic role, which should be a clear upgrade and glimps into next season.

I also expect Bates to have a big day.

Strange that I'm more excited to see our offense. I never feel that way, but I think they'll need to hang 30+ to win this game, which should be doable.

I think he's going to be a very big part of today, because outside of Collins, we don't have a true pass rush specialist. I think Allen and Payne are gonna really eat today too, because they don't have to worry about much of a run game and while Carr does have some wheels, he's not going to be breaking off a lot of big runs.

Landing in Vegas yesterday and adjusting to the time zone from out East. I woke up at 5 amish their time today because it’s 8 am Eastern time.

I can feel how that time zone screws u up. I don’t know where the team is sleeping. Hopefully its not a hotel on the strip because on the strip it is hard to sleep through the night since it’s loud as heck.

Having fun so no complaints but if I were playing football today I’d be wiped 😀

Could also be a dose of Smallwood, assuming he’s active.

Patterson caught a bunch of balls during camp but they haven’t used him in that way during the season.

Rivera suggested in a recent interview that Samuel is still on a pitch count but I’d assume it’s more expansive than the Seattle game,

Catching up this morning reading what the Raiders beat writers think. They don’t don’t take our offense too seriously and they expect to win

I think its going to come down to Heinicke and that arm of his and that makes me nervous.

Everett filled in for Collins last week, right?  I’d be curious to see Apke in that role, and I wonder if he’s improved his angles (in terms of tackling).  In theory, I like him a lot more there than FS/SS.

@Koolblue13I’m less worried about Heinicke’s arm and more worried about the oline, especially if Ismael is starting.  Can they keep the pocket clean?  Can they open up running lanes?  Can our backs protect (with McKissick out)?

Just saw your last post - yeah, Heinicke holding the ball at times could hurt us.  I’m worried about that blind side rush.  Between leaning heavily on Gibson and dealing with the pass rush, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple/few turnovers for Heinicke/Gibson.  Hope I’m wrong.
