I fully expect us to be very disappointed when it comes to qb.

Odds are we only are abke to get Tribusky or Mariotta to be QB1. We don’t draft a qb because whoever is left, doesn’t interest us and we keep Taylor and Kyle as backups.

QB1 doesn’t improve from his previous time starting and we have a similar start  in 22 as we did in 21. The difference in 22; Ron is fired by mid season.

That is the destiny for the Snyder Commanders in their first year.

I totally understand the pessimism. We have no reason to believe this team will get a good QB. I just think Ron probably knows he’s gonna be on the hot seat if he doesn’t win next year and have a hard time seeing him choosing Trubisky or Mariotta to keep him off that seat. If he drafts a qb it gives him at least 2 more years.

Guess my only hope is they hire Jay, fire the HC out of frustration  a year or two later, leading him to take over as HC and eventually win 10 games so I dont have to buy him a steak dinner. Running out time on that one...:806:

What year did we decide to go through? 2030?  Jay would never win 10 games as a HC by 2030?

Im making a reservation for Morton’s on Jan 1, 2031.  It’s a stone cold lock. :P

Could be.  Jay seems to really like Carr a lot.

My main point of wonder is does @Voice_of_Reason bolt to become a Panthers fan if they make Jay their new offensive coordinator? 😀

No, I’d run to the local casino to play the under on Panthers wins though…

Jay’s last 2 seasons as a coach he went 0-4 and got fired and then what, like 2-14 as an OC and got fired.

I’d also bet the under of when he gets fired as the OC.

Id make lots of money.

Don't worry. @Rdskns2000is basically Eeyore.

If we pick at 11 then I think we'll have a shot at who we want. There are no guys this year who are the typical bona fide blue chip players who will undoubtedly go top 3. I'd actually be pretty surprised if a QB goes top 5, though anything is possible.

I think it all depends on which guy(s) we like and how much we'd be willing to move up to get him if it comes down to that. Ideally we'd have a couple of QB we really like and wouldn't have to move up at all.

Lolz, it was give him 10 years to get 10 win season as a HC, clock starting in either late 2018 or before the start of 2019 season, so I say shoot for Jan 1, 2028 to get this over with :ols:

I’m fine with that.  But I’d be happy to give you the 2 extra years. It won’t change anything. He will never get to 10 wins as a HC, even with a 17 or 18 game season.

I would be pumped if we stay at 11 and get Pickett.

Ohh, thats an interesting factor i forgot about.  I say if we keep changing the terms, we'll lose track of it, stick with 2028.  But ya never know, if guys like Fassell can go to the super bowl, heaven forbid he ever walk into a franchise QB that does all the hard work for him.

If they like Tribisky so much then I am starting to think we don't even have the right people in place to judge and evaluate QB's.

Carr looks to be going to the playoffs, think we should scratch him off the list, Vegas would be insane to let him go.

Carr was never on a list. He is going to be w/ the Raiders.

Ron’s best shot of getting his 5 years is to draft a rookie qb.  If the rookie plays the majority of the year; you can blame the losing on growing pains if a rookie. Of course, we could sit the rookie the entire year; saying we wanted do what chiefs did with Mahomes.

Ron goes with a veteran and he starts off like he did last 2 years; doubtful he finishes the season. Ron goes thru season with a vet but ends up with a losing record; doubtful he comes back in 23.

I would be surprised but I do agree with their degree of desperation. I don’t think they will fart around with this

Agreed they will go all in on these guys. Going all in for Watson is certainly a Snyder move. Overlook circumstance and be enamored with talent.

But even in going all in, they aren't coming here.

Carr's price just went up and his chances of being available dropped to very little.

Trade targets appear to be Mayfield, Watson, Wilson. I am not listing Rodgers as I don't think he's leaving Green Bay.

Tu'a may be available. He and Davis Mills are virtually the same in my eyes and I'm not sure Houston will abandon Mills.

If we can't get Carr or Wilson, I think we need to move up for Corral. If we stay put, Howell should get to us, but thats really our only option.

And staying put there's no guarantee Howell, Pickett or WIllis make it to 11. It's not likely all 4 are gone... but its a possibility and a complete risk.

We absolutely have to sell out for a QB this year. That and MLB. Everything else feels set and we are missing the most important guy on both sides of the ball. We blew it last year and are in a corner now.
