Look guys, the important this is our games have automatically become more exciting.

You can say all you want about TH but his unpredictabilty makes for a more chaotic/fun game.

He'll at least get us more 1st downs because of his mobility.

So things are gonna get even more chaotic nows?

You should be happy. This team is always better after some kind of crippling accident. The defense will probably go off now and since we're going without a forward pass for a few weeks, the run game will probably explode, too.

Listened to Cooley on Keim

A.  He's not a big Heinicke guy but he does thinks the offense will likely look better with him -- main reason is he doesn't think Wentz gets the ball in the hands of his playmakers quickly, Taylor he think is more likely to pull that off

B.  Wentz isn't the player he loved in Philly.  He thinks in Philly his mobility and ability to make throws off script masked some of his other weaknesses and that mobility looks gone.

C.  He's not out on Wentz he likes his upside.  Not easy to master a new offense, takes time.

D.  Wentz sticks on his first read too long and that makes him slow going through his progressions when the first read isn't open

E. Wentz has poor touch on his throws, doesn't throw a catchable ball on the first level and his accuracy just in general isn't hot.

F.  He wouldn't be surprised if the playmakers enjoy working with Taylor right now over Carson because he thinks they are more likely to get the ball quickly to make plays and the offense likely runs smoother

They just did.

Hmmm.  I liked Fromm in college - Georgia.  Not a very strong arm or very athletic but he's very smart.  He can get thru his reads quickly.  Could do worse for a backup.  Like Montez again!  And a backup is most likely his ceiling.

Completely forgot about this stupid play lol

Never understood the uproar this play received; it’s football, stuff happens.

Spot on by Cooley.

I’m out on the cost unless he displays some mastery over the offense we haven’t seen to date.

Taylor fighting and scrapping throughout games is intriguing, what we got last year was ho hum. Though, the consistency and rhythm of the offense was better than what we’ve seen with Wentz.

  • Michael Phillips thinks they put Wentz on IR
  • Doesn't think Howell would start but no reflection on him.  Timing not right
  • They were impressed with things that Howell did in preseason but don't read too much in to that
  • Thinks give TH the 4 weeks and if the season is lost, going to Howell is a better situation for Howell
  • What they do with Wentz when he gets back?  If TH can overcome the OLINE issues may raise eyebrows with Wentz's ability
  • Lines are blurred as to what to do if TH wins these games like do they let him continue to play
  • Thinks Wentz's injury saves the staff, i.e. if they had lost the Bears game thinks operational changes would have been considered
  • Talked about the Fitz comment on 'Plug and Play' offense but its confusing because of the success in the first couple games where it seemed more innovative
  • Expectations were the offense would be 'fun'
  • Thanks 1

I probably woulda gone AJ McCarron.  I know it's just a temporary practice squad 3rd QB, but I'm always thinking of if the person actually has to play, regardless of the long shot possibility.  Fromm came into NY halfway through last year and started a game.
