Burgold Posted October 7, 2019 Share Posted October 7, 2019 I don't feel good about this, but it is a first step. Need to fire Bruce next. He's been the architect for nine years. The teams he built weren't good enough for Shanny. Hell, Shanny had a record comparable to Zorn and that has to be about talent. I do think we've drafted the last two years, but so many other aspects of the team are failing from free agent acquisition all the way down to fan experience. One thing I sometimes think about is how the Browns for thirty years it seems have had a terrible team, but their fans were vocal, strong, and supportive. It's now been twenty mostly bad years for us and many of us feel disaffected, apathetic, and hopeless. As for Jay, this firing doesn't do us any good this year. I do think that he was part of the problem and his coaching left a lot to be desired, especially this year. This won't make the team better (this year) but it was the right thing to do. Maybe a start but a long road ahead. I dont hear anyone saying that firing Gruden will fix anything. But it was time. 6 seasons of poor time management, bad penalties and losing made it necessary. Time for Snyder to blow the whole thing up. Bruce should be next. Then hire a REAL GM, let him hire HIS coach and build a real damn NFL team.
